Skoda Octavia recalled over faulty child locks

Thank you to BHPian itwasntme for sharing this information with other enthusiasts!

Skoda has recalled 539 units of the Octavia sedan in order to check and replace faulty manual child locks on the rear doors. According to the company, a batch of cars manufactured between November 2015 and April 2016 has the aforementioned fault.

The Czech automaker claims that assessment of the faulty child locks will take just 12 minutes. In case the service personnel find the locks to be faulty, free replacements will be carried out. This would take around 45 minutes. All costs of assessment and replacement will be taken care of by the company.

Skoda dealers across the country will intimate Octavia owners about this recall.
