Re: Isuzu starts production at Andhra Pradesh. Rolls out D-Max V-Cross @ 12.49 lakhs I booked the V Cross yesterday after seeing it in person . Booking number was supposedly 23 in the Hyderabad dealership. I was informed that pricing will be the introductory one for mine. It is a Monster Truck and with some modifications it will be a looker. Brown Colour was on Display which feels more of maroon. It does look nice in that shade.
Loved the looks and the way the car felt in the front row. Some observations
Features I liked - The car is Huge, tall and seriously Butch
- Hardly any engine noise crept into the cabin. Excellent Insulation
- AC was pretty effective and also has the option to block any vent
- front Seats are comfortable and have long travel as well
- Rear Seats can seat 3 comfortably
- There is ISO Fix
- Rear Seats fold 60-40 creating additional space
- Doors are solid and feel heavy
- Footstep is compact
- Tyres look and feel Huge MRF - ZVRL - 245/70 R16. I was initially looking to upgrade to 17" or 18" if possible but did not feel the need
- Alloys are 16" with 6 spoke as shown in the pics above. SA was not sure about the upgrade options though
- Auto Fold mirrors are a convenient feature
- Steering Controls for audio system as well a phone connectivity
- Touch screen audio System. Did not see the rear cam but that will be a really useful feature to have in the beginning till one gets used to the size
- Awesome visibility all around
- Dead Pedal is Conveniently placed. that should be present in all cars irrespective of their cost
- Love the loading bay. Door for the loading bay is heavy. goes flat when opened
- One can stand on the rear bumper and get into the loading bay
- Height adjustable seat belts
- Big Storage similar to Innova between driver and passenger seats. Lots of slots all around with felt lining
- MID displays range/mileage/4H/4L/temperature etc.
What I did not like - Beige is a wrong colour for the interiors. It soils easily and the fabric present seems to attract dust. 600km car was looking old
- Under thigh support is not great for my height 175 cm. Knees also go up. Got to see what can be done for this
- Rear bench cushioning is thin. May be some modified form of seat cover can over come this limitation
- Seat Back is a little upright
- Missing Cruise Control. Would have been a useful feature over long drives
- Nothing was visible in the Audio system. Will need a shadow to read anything. Don't if brightness can be adjusted
Eagerly waiting for the test drive to see how the suspension will be from a daily use point of view.
I was informed that the mileage will be around 10 Kmpl in City and 11-12 Kmpl on Highway Quote:

Surprised to see the weight that less considering that it is only missing the last row/roof etc. Build quality feels solid though compared to Innova Quote:

I totally concur with you here. Painting it black may be one option Just Saw the pricing in AP Rs 12,26,282 /-* . How I wish AP/TG were one state Even Maharashtra prices are lower. Indore seems to be highest at Rs 12.80 Lakhs. Infact they should advertise it as prices starting from Rs 12.26 Lakhs rather than Rs 12.49 Lakhs
