Aston Martin has launched the 2016 Rapide in India at a price of Rs. 3.29 crore (ex-showroom, Thane).

The 2016 Rapide is powered by a 6.0-litre, V12 petrol engine that develops 510 BHP and is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Aston Martin claims the car can do the 0-100 kph sprint in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 306 kph.



The car gets a new front grille, eight airbags and seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters for all four occupants. Aston Martin has also equipped the car with the new AMi III infotainment system, which has a 6.5-inch screen and Bluetooth connectivity. It integrates audio, navigation, telephony and vehicle information functions.



The Rapide is Aston Martin's highest selling model in India, accounting for over 50% of the cars the company has sold in the country.

What have they done to the grille? To my eyes, the Aston Martin Rapide was the sleekest luxury sedan and this modified grille have messed up the front end a bit. The profile and the rear are still gorgeous though! Come on Aston, give us the old Rapide back.
