Any word on the official Team bhp report on the new Elantra, especially curious to hear about the new 2.0L petrol engine, how does it compare to earlier 1.8? Also if someone could comment on SX variant, which does loose out on safety features but is it still a better buy than say a Toyota GL?

Took delivery of my VTVT SX(O) AT today.

Dealership informed me that this was the 5th delivery in Mumbai.

More pics and ownership experience to follow in the coming days as I get acquainted.

With Octavia now being discounted by upto 3 lakhs in some cases it just makes it that much compelling to go for a D segment saloon.

Hey Arjun, can you guide as to which models are carrying the 3 lakhs discount and which dealerships would be offering this. Much interested in picking up either of the 1.8 TSI petrols

I guess you should get similar discounts from both the dealers in Bangalore. Will have to check with my brother as he has been negotiating the 1.8 tsi. Right time to
Jump in as you would get fabulous discounts over the next 3 months.

Eagerly awaiting your ownership experience, since when I spoke to the dealer in Delhi, he said since the Elantra is a new car, they don't have the SX(o) in AT to test drive.

Is the 3 Lakh discount only on the Petrol Octavia or the diesel sibling also enjoys the same discount?
