I was surprised to see them skip Auto Dimming on LHS external side mirror on X1 Expedition.

Please confirm.


Question 2. Does BMW provide RSA services? Eg. VW cars comes with 2 yrs RSA and can be renewed for 2 yrs at Rs. 3,666. Couldn't find any information on BMW India website.

Even with my 330i GT M Sport, they have only provided auto dimming ORVM on the driver side and the passenger side ORVM is not auto dimming. So, I guess BMW does this to many of their cars - not sure why though!

Not just with BMW, this is the case with Mercedes and Audi as well. It is present on my 2014 C Class as well and my best friend's 2016 Audi A3. Mighty irritating.

On the other hand my relatively cheaper Octavia has all 3 mirrors as auto dimming

I thought BMW played a cheap trick on X1 Expedition. Seems to be across the range.

Agree 100%. Its mighty irritating. If LHS mirror too is Auto-Dimming, it would make driving in night so much less straining on eye.

I hope BMW makes Auto Dimming mirror for LHS which can be easily swapped in place of stock mirror. 1st upgrade.

My average in city is 11.5 kmpl and on highway 13-13.5 kmpl.
I somehow feel this is too less. Am I hoping for too much or is it the case with most of you?

I get close to 13 in city and over 15 on highways. It is just around a kmpl lower than what I get in my Ertiga

Thats the majority feedback number. I am attaching my screenshot here. Its always around 12kmpl within city, saw 14 on a 500 km highway drive last year. You can see the drop in numbers below while I was ripping in sports mode for 2 days in a row

I think the FE totally depends on the driving style and road condition.
As shajufx highlighted that when he is ripping in S mode then the FE is on down side.

Thanks. Now I think it's close to normal. I was expecting 16-17 on highways being a very easy driver.

Another query, when I lock/unlock the car, the lights flash but no sound. Is there an option to have sound as well?

Is there a way to roll down windows by pressing unlock and roll up by pressing lock button or some other way?

Cant seem to figure it out.

In Vento I could do it by long press of unlock and lock button.
