Here are my observations on Vitara Brezza, which I checked out on Sunday in nearby showroom. The test drive was not available as it is Sunday.

These are the major pros and cons in my opinion.

Pros:

• Vitara Brezza is one of the best looking cars in the market. It's definitely best looking Maruti since Swift.
• Kudos to Maruti for well proportioned design with a 4 meter limit in the age of ugly compact sedans like dzire, xcent, zest and chopped off SUVs like TUV300, Nuvosport etc...
• Dual airbags and ABS are available as an option with small premiums even on basic variants.
• Pricing is spot on and Maruti learned their lessons quickly from the debacle of S-cross.
• High seating position of driver and bonnet is clearly visible. It's a rarity these days.

Cons:

• Boring interiors and most of the parts are shared from other low end Maruti's.
• Under thigh support is less . It's the same with Baleno. Long drives could be painful for family members.
• No petrol variant.
  
  

I believe Brezza will be as successful as Swift for Maruti.

some guys are confusing between 90bhp and 90ps. This fiat engine is a 90bhp version actually 93ps but somehow rounded up to 90bhp for advertising purposes. Some compare with ecosport and say this is 90ps and that is 100ps.

Fiat 1.3 engine (S-Cross 1.3 / Vitara Brezza) is 66KW / 88.5BHP / 89.7PS

Ecosport is 73.6KW / 98.6BHP / 100PS

Fiat 1.3 multijet with VGT in linea and punto is 93 ps and 209 nm. Same engine in Maruti cars is rated at 90 ps and 200 nm.

When I decided to buy a car it was fiat punto 90bhp on top of my list. Read a lot about it. The engine was 93ps as mentioned on various forums and 90bhp as marketed. I assumed it would be same with Maruti. Is this tuned slightly lesser? Fiats website gives 93ps.

Official specs of this engine on maruti cars is 3 ps and 9nm less to fiat. But maruti is master of tuning first engines coupled with good gear ratios. Maruti cars feel way faster than fiat with same engine due to excellent tuning, gearbox and lighter weight.

Fiat 1.3 engine has multiple power ratings based on the tuning.

BHP / PS / KW conversion is as follows

1BHP = 1.01387PS =0.746KW

Well the official ones as I posted are available at the dealership for Rs 6500 or in that range take or give couple of 100s.

Congrats buddy. My cousin too got delivery of Brezza ZDI today. About pics, please make sure pics are less than 3 mb in size.

Saw this on the road in Gurgaon yesterday.
Looks quite nice and comfortably in the midst of the normal commuter traffic. Neither too small nor too big. Nice SUV stance and general presence as you can see.
Maruti clearly has a winner here, in terms of one more fantastic hard hitting Mass Market offering which the Indian public will simply lap up!

Yes there is a mileage indicator. Instantaneous and avg both.

Anybody can post a pic of rear camera from ZDi+? I need the location.
