The S variant also get 17" alloys and Titanium gets 16" alloys.

1) 17' instead of 16' wheels
2) TPMS
3) Better looking speedo and rpm meter: Chrome rings
4) Sunroof
5) No chrome outside
6) Orangish inserts inside

If I'm not wrong, that better looking speedo is now available with Titanium+ as well. Fixes the only thing in T+ that I, personally couldn't stand.

It wasn't there when 'S' was launched. Has it been added recently?

The updated instrument cluster has been added on all variants of the Ecosport starting from Titanium variant and going upwards. There has been no consequent increase in price yet. All cars manufactured from February 13th onwards will have the new cluster (Titanium and upwards). A big negative of the car has thus been addressed. Welcome move from Ford.

The S variant always had the premium instrument cluster. Titanium and Titanium+ variants are also getting it since Feb.

Have seen 3 XUV300s within 4 days. Seems like deliveries are in full swing now in Bhubaneswar. All 3 that I spotted seemed to be higher variants but I couldn't focus on the badging. Two whites and one Aquamarine colour. I wasn't too fond of the Aquamarine from the photos, but in the flesh it looks good! Sadly, from a distance, it looked like the Brezza, I was able to differentiate it from the taillights as I've been following this thread. Also, it looked bigger in person than the Brezza. But regular folks might not be able to recognise it at first glance. The overall design is just too similar and there's no stand out visual elements to instantly differentiate it

Just had a brief TD of the XUV 300 petrol 1.2. The car was great and pulled cleany from 1500rpm onwards. It had this GT TSI feel to it, but with all the fun of manual. Will have to have a longish TD of the car to consider it. Had there been a torque converter automatic, I would have seriously considered this above the civic which disappointed me today morning.

Going by the reviews, this car could have gone up against the Creta. MM should have brought out the in its original Tivoli avatar, not bothering about keeping it below 4m. Sure it would have been a bit more expensive then it is now but it would have a good shot at the 10k numbers that the Creta manages now.

Trying to slot this under the sub 4m mark resulted in a neither here not there positioning.

I just bought an XUV3OO W8(O) 1.5lt Diesel 115bhp, 300Nm, 42 lt tank, 2600mm wheelbase, 17 inch wheels, aquamarine


it is a great car, lots of cabin space, very zippy engine. You get a sudden surge of power once you cross 1500 RPM in any gear. The gear shifts have to be done frequently and maybe the automatic would be a nice option. The car however does not feel underpowered at all at any point. It is a feature rich car with auto folding ORVM, auto dimming in IRVM, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, vanity mirrors on both side with light, light in glovebox, Tyretronics which gives pressure and temperature for all four wheels and only pressure for spare wheel, sunroof, height adjustable drivers seat. It also has reverse assist with voice and visual clues for parallel parking. Solid build quality. Micro hybrid so switches off the engine if you go into neutral and remove foot from the clutch. Light clutch. Was able to engage cruise in 2nd gear at speeds above 25kmph. Three-point seatbelt for the middle passenger. Deep spacious glovebox. Very nice audio. The seat goes back really far so very comfortable for tall people who like to drive laid-back. I am 5-11 and my legs fall short to the pedals if I push the seat all the way back. It still leaves decent knee space for rear passenger. Can change lights in the instrument cluster in the dashboard and set different shades for day and night. Can switch off back illumination if dashboard completely. Navigation is above average. It stores details if each trip including start and stop location, total distance covered, average mileage, average speed, total time taken and several other parameters.

On the down side, the boot is relatively small but is compensated well by the spacious cabin, cannot put covers on seats because of 7 airbags. The seat cover is faux leather in light shade which is prone to get dirty. Spare wheel has steel rim, no rear tray even in the top model, no shark fin antenna, can open boot with local button but can't lock it from there, generally stiff suspension, start feeling hot if engine switches off due to micro hybrid feature but the feature can be switched off. Engine is quiet but Cabin is not as quiet. Can hear ambient noise maybe because if thin window glasses. The front window glasses have a sharp edged angle. Cruise doesn't feel to be very accurate in maintaining constant speed at low speeds. Head unit always starts in radio mode which is irritating as I like to listen to my music from phone. Three key press required to get into phone media mode for music. There is no space to park your left foot in cruise control mode. Infact there is no foot-space to left of the clutch pedal. The handrest is not adjustable but opens up for space.

Some of the quirky things I noted was that the front passenger side door doesn't close easily and has to be banged hard, the front suspension makes rattling noise over uneven surfaces, the engine seems to lose power in lower gears and it is tough to revive the engine once it starts to stall. Can't do much, it just stalls even if you go into neutral. Experience jerks even in 1st gear at times like it is going to stall.

Happy with the decision generally.

The 5th and 6th gear and the final drive ratios are different between the petrol and the diesel probably for better roll-on and FE to suit varying engine parameters.

There is also a difference in the 40-100 kph in 4th gear roll-on timings shown in Autocar's video and that indicated in this review.

12.85 seconds in the video vs 17.99 seconds mentioned in this review.

I would think that 12.85 seconds is the right figure given the power on tap as 17.99 seconds is way too slow and is probably a typo.
