The low stance might scrape India roads (forget bumpers)! I think it's got a more cleaner exterior linings as compared to the abrupt ones on Mobilio and BR-V. The continuous design flow looks much elegant and modular.

Thanks. The CVT version hardly felt powerful, showing ample rubberbanding at sudden acceleration.
I wonder why they are showing the BR-V driving through gravel, slush and beach sand. It is just a 2WD with SUVish pretensions. It will get stuck if driven through such terrain.
Hang on guys-Why are we so adamant that the looks are bad, car is overpriced, interiors are bad and all these stuff. Can anyone in the forum, who is not a Maruti/Honda fan give some positives as well here. Let me counter all these one by one
Over priced- If one thinks that honda is over-priced then what about Ford Ecosports and Renault Dusters. Are they cheap? On road price of base models touches 10 Lakhs. There is nothing to look forward in those models. I would not never like to sit inside them.
Bad Looks- If looks were the criteria, then i think Swift would never have been a hit from the day 1. Many owners have termed it as fat lady. Secondly, dusters looks like a hippopotamus to me. Why are they a hit?
External looks- To me wagon-R is the worst looking car due to its boxier dimension and unusual proportions but still it is one of the best sellers in the history of Indian Auto-mobile. Why is it so?
Let us analyse the reasons.
1. We have a die hard fan following for Maruti and Hyundai and we will blindly take any crap from them as best seller in the segment and use it for industry benchmarking:Frustrati
2. Let me blame Honda also for this. They do not believe in advertising. I have seen the advertisement of Wagon-R and Alto on 30th & 31st of month also when the schemes are ending. On the other Hand, i have seen Honda advertise somewhere in middle pages of newspapers and that too once in a month. Many people do not even know if honda has a product like Jazz and mobilio. Those who see my Mobilio in person simply say-"Kya gaadi banai hai yaar. Jahaj hai jahaj. Koun se company ki hai. Imported hai kya.( What a car, seems like a ship. Which is the company. Is it imported?)".lol:
All said and done, i believe their products to be the best in industry. I am definitely looking forward to their future generation products. Whatever they have showcased in the Tokyo and Thailand motor show, goes on to prove the extent of technology use and the advancement they have made. I dare Maruti/Hyundai to showcase such a technology.

I personally think, BRV is gonna go the Mobilio way.Honda should bring the HRV to India.It looks like a proper compact suv and by pricing it on par with creta, it should give creta a run for its money.
I was looking at replacing my 5 year old 72K on the odo diesel Innova with a Petrol Mobilio or Ertiga and the BRV fits my requirement perfectly. Mobilio was ruled out,since I didn't like the non adjustable head-rest on front 2 seats and was looking at seat modification options.
People complaining about over-pricing, take a look at Innova's price today. And the FE that a diesel Innova return, I fail to understand how it is so popular with the taxi segment.
If the Petrol CVT is priced anywhere below 20 Lakhs, I will surely book this car.
BR-V will be showcased in the 2016 Auto Expo. But production is expected to start only next year!!

How true is this news no body knows. The car is already on sale in Indonesia and I honestly think that Honda will not wait that long to launch it in India.

I was in Thailand and got chance to drop in at the Honda showroom.
The BRV got pricing released and display cars was in dealership (The day of my departure) in Thailand last week.
Could not get the full brochure as it was not available at the dealership but the mini-brochure was available.
The BRV comes in 5 colors in Thailand

Lunar Silver Metallic
White Orchid Pearl
Modern Steel Metallic &
Crystal Black Pearl
With pricing around 0.8 million Thai Bhat it sits right below the H-RV (1.05 million THB).

Based on my
hard observations, I strongly believe that the front door is same for both BR-V and Brio (+Mobilio/Amaze). You can literally swap the fenders/bonnet/headlight/grill of these vehicles. Dashboard also.
The story ends after front doors as vehicles take their own different shapes. Ofcourse I havnt tried the swaps in reality, but there are 99% chances that I am correct.
This is because BR-V is based on Brio. And there is nothing wrong with that!
Spotted the BRV in Bangkok last week. Couldn't pick up a brochure or sit inside the vehicle, but managed to click some pictures. The car is quite spacious and the quality of all black interiors was quite good.
Does launch equate with booking commencement? I just want to confirm whether 'launch' means on road availability or it means that the dealers will start taking bookings then for a future availability.
I am unable to understand why everyone compares it with available 5 seater SUV's, when this is a 7 seater MUV/SUV cross breed.
What does BR-V have to do with "Brave"? A very silly tag line. It appears that they just found a word that has B, R and V in it.
Good that they did get too carried away with the luxurious interiors that are generally associated with business class and come up with "Business Road Vehicle". Sounds very silly, I know. But so does "How Brave Are we?".
