Re: GST effect on car prices?

Cross posting from another thread, as it may be relevant here. Earlier the gap between top-end Hexa and top-end Innova Crysta was around 4L. Now its close to 7L? Am i reading it correct?

Per Rushlane, Ford Endeavour & Toyota Fortuner is supposed to get massive price reduction. 3.47L & 3.26 L respectively.

Tata Hexa's official site:
http://hexa.tatamotors.com/price

Interestingly, Hexa's price cut is more than that estimated by carwale - some correction has gone into pricing process to tackle the faltering sales numbers.
Further, XUVs & Hexa's top variants are now priced nearly 1 lakh apart post GST. This should help Hexa get more sales, since it's clearly the better product & now more VFM.

Re: GST effect on car prices?

Either one should depend on manufacturers website to get the correct price or directly from the dealer. I don't think these random websites without any credibility can be relied upon.

Officially, 3.2 Endeavour is priced 2.7L more than 2.8 AT Fortuner. As per website of india.ford and bharat.toyota

Re: GST effect on car prices?

Guys I just got following quote from my Hyundai dealer in Chandigarh for Creta Diesel SX+ Auto. How do I confirm these figures are legit post GST?

Dealer: KLG Hyundai
Ex-Showroom: 14,24,907/-
Temp No: 275/-
Insurance B2B: 50,183/-
RC Chandigarh: 76,245/-

On Road: 15,51,610/-

PS: I got these figures scribbled on a piece of paper and hence the hesitation.

Toyota/ Dealer is unable to explain the price in Bangalore for Fortuner. They said they will be updating in a weeks time.

Prices for Hyundai aren't out yet. I had inquired about the SX+ auto and was told no prices are released Post GST. Hyundai website also doesn't show any price.

The current ex showroom price in Goa for the SX+ auto is 14.61 and since Goa and Delhi have similar prices, reduction of 36k post GST seems too less.

Better wait till hyundai officially releases their prices.

Regards

I dont think Ford's website has been updated yet. Still showing the old prices. I use the build and price option since i cannot seem to find the price list for all states/cities.

The Hexa must be a very rare car which costs cheaper in Bangalore than Delhi!! Except for the base variant, all other variants are more expensive in Delhi than Bangalore . Maruti has done the exact opposite!!

Wonder how manufactures are arriving at the prices for each cities now!!

Pune is closer to Bangalore compared to Delhi. And with all local tax being excluded, the New Price will make it cheaper to buy in IT Capital compared to National Capital.

We should see similar trend with other cars once all car prices have been updated.

Hyundai has just updated the official prices on the website. The base model Creta Petrol now costs 8.92 Lakhs as against 9.22 Lakhs earlier Ex-showroom Delhi. Attaching the official price list from Hyundai website for the entire portfolio.
