One more shot of the Tata Nexon test mule at night showing the unique U-shaped tail light sections, courtesy
Autospy @ TAI.
Notice the size comparison to the Storme?
Considering it has been testing for quite a while now and that more test mules are spied of this car than the Kite 5, can it be said that it is the Nexon which will be the next product after Hexa? Somewhere around mid 2017?
Have been going through the upgrade cycle which started from the Zest, went to Jazz, then to a Baleno (booked but then cancelled) and now will finish at Nexon most probably, so awaiting its launch desperately.

2017 is when this should be launched. If you can wait with your current car, then should be fine. Else you may want to look at current options and year-end offers.

Have decided to wait it out. The primary reason being that I had to move temporarily to another city for work, hence the cards fell in place at the right time. My travel will also supposedly increase after I move back, hence will go for a diesel one.
Just waiting now desperately, I don't want it to move to end 2017-early 2018 launch. That would be too much!
With Tiago doing remarkably well, I doubt if Tata Motors want to bring in Kite 5 before Nexon. So, my guess is by mid 2017, Nexon should be launched.
A production-ready test mule of the Nexon was spotted in Pune by

He has also shared a comparison pic with the Maruti-Suzuki Vitara Brezza. According to the OP:

Driver just removed the cover and I took the photograph. near by Brezza was also standing, Comparing this two cars I feel Nexon looks better design.

They should bring in Nexon before Kite. Zest is doing very well. Kite will cannibalize Zest sales. As Nexon will be a new category for Tata, they should launch it first. Hopefully by March-April period.

You meant Tiago instead of Zest I hope!

I guess he meant the Zest. If Kite is launched (a CS), Zest sales are sure to be affected. Not to mention cross shopping of Tiago to Kite (which IMO is good!) Eventually it is well known that Zest will be overshadowed by Kite, whenever it launches, unless Zest comes up with an impressive facelift.
So, Tata Motors might let Tiago help the Zest for some more time!

Well, the below statement doesn't seem to be correct in that case. Zest never excelled in sales, or to put it blunt, it's a flop.

I meant Zest (both being compact sedans). Zest is doing 2K+ consistently over the last 6 months. That's a good run for a face lift and about 2 and half years old car. No other car from Tata's past is doing well. Remember Zest sales increased after Tiago's launch gaining from increase in footfalls. Yes Tiago will also be impacted. All in all, launching Nexon ahead of Kite would make sense.
The only issue I see is Nexon won't be as successful as Kite. That might slowdown the momentum they got with Tiago and hopefully with Hexa. I believe Kite sedan will be breakaway product for Tata's.

You can see the tail lamp sections lit up in these spyshots. The alloy design is also visible.

The Zest was destined to be a flop, but the Tiago has indeed helped in bringing it back from the dead, selling about 2000+ month on month average.
Although not a great volume, considering the DZire, it's still in the game of overall numbers.

It might be true that Tiago brought more people into Tata showrooms of which a few might have opted for Zest. However, it doesnt explain the Zest's almost 5K sale in a month . Also, while Tiago sales are consistent, Zest's sale dipped again.
Coming to Nexon, is it only I who feel its a premium hatchback which might compete with the likes of i20 and Baleno?
