I wouldn't recommend the are leather seat covers on a car with side airbags - reason

1. Have read that the art leather seat covers get really hot under the sun
2. I wouldn't put a seat cover on a car with side airbags; recommendation from the manufacturer not withstanding. Why take a chance when you have paid for a fully loaded car with safety features?!

A handy tip for Ecosport newbies !!!

Sometimes your music system will simply stop working..

That means that the music system has been accidently switched off. Please switch on the system by pressing the center volume bottom.

In other news, sometimes when you enter the car you will find that the car is switched of. So turn the engine on and you should be able to drive. :

It's a bit late, but what exactly are you looking to get repaired? If it's something minor, it may not make sense to claim the insurance and lose the NCB advantage.

I believe there are some after market dent & paint vendors in Hyderabad - Mars is I can recollect. You might want to check that option, if you haven't opted for the service center yet.

Appreciate the pun..But it is not so simple as you think..The screen does not indicate that the music system is switched off..And as i said..it is for newbies and not experts like you

I had to get a mild denting and painting job done. I did get a good deal from Mody Ford regarding the same. However i did not opt for Insurance as i did not want to lose the NCB advantage as i have 45% NCB.

The only concern regarding the after market dent & paint vendors is whether they would be able to get the right match for the the original paint.

Most of the cities have some MASTER of the trade guys aka specialists. Please refer to the team-bhp directory section whenever you need inputs.

When your vehicle has side airbags, do not change the seat covers or put any covers over the seats. The side airbags will be rendered null and void if you do.

Is it true that Ford India has instructed the service centers to do a general checkup on any vehicle that comes in for service or repairs. The bill for my mild denting and painting job contained several heads for general checkup. However it was free of cost. I did confirm the same with the SA.

Also for people planning on a road trip, it would also be better to get a General Checkup done. The price quoted by the Ford service center for General Checkup is Rs 400.

Would appreciate confirmation/feedback from other Ford owners on this.

Hopefully another aggressive attempt to defend its turf against the Vitara Brezza, but it would be a shot in the foot if they remove the spare wheel from the boot, which is one of the most distinguishing factors of the Ecosport design and a reason for its appeal among the masses!
