This theory does not hold true always especially in the higher end category. Moreover that 1% is no thumb rule as a per service charge as they vary depending on the wear and tear. As i said,

"The cost may vary depending on the boxes ticked in the service sheet, life of the car and if any replacement or damage repairs come into play but it does give you an approximate figure. The Rule also does not apply to CBU imports"

And the RS5 is a CBU import never disagreed with the fact brother.

MBIL is cleaning up the S line up. The S500 is being discontinued, CBU already stopped as price is at par with s500Maybach and in all likelihood the s500 CKD is also being stopped as there aren't many takers for it over the diesel. Moreover the s500 maybach launch has further canabalzied the CKD regular s500.

I hope they launch the S400 hybrid to fill in the void that will be created between the S350d and S500Maybach

Radar is irrelevant to magic body control. It uses data from a Stereo Multi-Purpose Camera(SMPC) mounted on the windshield. The SMPC generates a video stream with a depth perception which helps in gauging the surface of the road ahead.

To give you a rough idea about the sensor systems employed, it is the SMPC that generates the complete profile of the surroundings ahead of a car. The radars(totally six - if equipped) will act as a scrutinizing mechanism which will further confirm if the SMPC has actually identified an object or it is a false identification.

Since radar is still in the process of being approved for cars, using SMPC some of the functions like Magic Body control, Pedestrian detection and Lane departure prevention can be implemented without the need for radar. However radar comes into need for Distronic plus, BSMP and Active BSMP, LDP with active steering and collision mitigation system CMS, CMS-Rear and so on.

I really wish the Maybach looked more distinguished from the regular S Class. The difference is apparent from the side but the front and rear look exactly the same

Agree with you Karr! Saw this one today and the only thing that made be take another look was the blue color - whixh I think is unique to the Maybach. Yes, and they should have designed the Maybach different from the regular S class. Just like how they did it for the 57 and 62.
