Maybach's India launch has been expected since early 2015 when the Mercedes CEO stated that there is a strong demand for chauffeur driven super-luxury cars and Maybach would "perfectly" fit the bill. It was pretty much confirmed few months back when Maybach S500 was brought in for homologation.
Now, the flagship Maybach S600 has been brought as well indicating that Mercedes could offer both S500 and S600 variants in India. S600 is powered by 6L, V12 engine capable of 530 BHP and 830 Nm of torque.
Mercedes should now be ready to reintroduce iconic Maybachs to India albeit only as a sub-brand this time.

Hey guys,
I do not understand the value column. At 35 lakhs, it is much lower than the prices anywhere in the world. Add 20% margins, and it still doesn't add up. Am I missing something here?

That is cost of company not retail price.

So Mercedes sells the S500 Maybach in Germany for around €134,000, that is around thrice the declared value of the car as per this document. That's a neat 200% profit margin :Shockked:

That is intra-company transfer price. For CBU the price will be much higher, and to that you add CBU Customs and company margins.
I guess 130% is the customs duty in India

Maybach here is coming only as S600. No other engine option, period.

Correct. Expect a street price of little less than 3 crores.
I miss the big, bold three pointed star integrated into the front grill on this car. IMO, Mercs started looking really appealing and youthful after the enlarged three pointed star is moved from tip of the bonnet into the front grill.
The Maybach variants of the S Class will most likely be 2cr or above ex-showroom. A couple of months ago while booking my S350, I was told by the dealer that it would cost about 2.25-2.50cr. I forget now, whether this was Ex-Showroom or On-Road Mumbai.
Came across these on instagram.
I am guessing it is the launch/demo vehicle. Or could it be a customer car?

My apology. Maybach S500 will also come but may be at a later stage.
