This was shared by Fiat India on FB. Looks like the standard Blu n' Me system to me rather than Uconnect.

Fiat Avventura Abarth (2015 Raid de Himalaya edition) review by Overdrive:

Quote:
When you settle in, the first thing you notice is how much lighter the clutch is in comparison to the one on the standard car. After driving around the city for a couple of days in a Fiat Punto Evo, and grumbling about a less than cooperating gearbox and clutch, the Fiat Avventura Abarth was quite a relief. The gearbox, although still a little sticky, is quite an improvement.

The next thing you notice is how much quicker the 140PS/210Nm engine revs when compared to the standard 1.4-litre 92PS engine. The rev counter surges to the redline pretty quickly after the turbo kicks in at around 2,000rpm. Although there is a hint of lag, the boost is delivered in a manner that doesn’t unsettle you — smooth and linear. Put your foot down, and you’ll be doing close to 100kmph without even realising it.

Around the bends, the car stuck like it was glued to the road despite nudging it around every now and then. The suspension on this Abarth Avventura had been stiffened to tackle the Raid, which possibly attributed to its improved handling. The steering felt light in a not-too-twitchy way, and although it did lack a little feel, it’s one of those trivialities that you barely notice because you’re simply having too much fun.

One of the less obvious things that gave this car away was the employment of disc brakes on all four wheels. They were sharp and didn’t feel reluctant as they brought the car to a standstill the instant a local bus came charging around a blind corner.

Seems there is a hot hatchback in the making. Those who wanted to go for Polo GT TSI for a quick engine can think about Abarth twins without any fear of company declaring bankruptcy

re: A Close Look: Fiat Punto Abarth. EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 9.95 lakhs!

Saw a Black Punto abarth with the red livery(posted in the last few pages) in Chennai today on Poonamalee High road. The car can move and how!! Saw the car stationary parked on the left with 4 people in the vehicle, I was doing 40KMPH when I crossed it and 2 seconds later saw it in the rear view mirror, tailgating my poor Verna. Yes, the guy driving it was a looney but that car can accelerate. I guess they were test driving it since the same car had pulled over further down the road for a driver swap.

A petrolhead would definitely recognize this car in a jiffy, those scorpion alloys were 100% drool maal. Otherwise to the general public, it is just another Punto that has been stickered, i.e. if they know that fiat exists in India.

Looks like a temporary job for the Raid. The hinge and the spare wheel locking mechanism is still visible in the pictures.

NDTV Auto report indicating '2 surprises' at the Punto Abarth Launch on Oct 19th. These are not surprises right? I thought it was kind of confirmed that the price will be <10L. The Cross Over is the Abarth Avventura?

Quote:
We are told by reliable sources that there are two surprises; the first one is that the Abarth Punto Evo will boast of a price tag less than 10 lakhs, which will make it the most powerful, affordable hatchback in the country. Powering this performance-oriented version of the car will be a 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol unit that will churn out a whooping 145bhp of power and bookings for the car have already started.
Quote:
The second one though is a bit hush-hush but we can tell you it's another car and one that will add to the Abarth line-up in the country. We all know what it is and the crossover will be powered by the same engine as the Punto Evo but will churn out 140bhp making it the most powerful crossover in the country

Edit: Guess it is now officially confirmed. Mr Kevin Flynn, president and MD will be launching the Punto Evo Abarth on Oct 19th 12pm. (Same image as what RavenAvi posted in the previous page, but with Mr Kevin's name added)

Three days to go for the launch of the hottest ever hatch of India (in the affordable segment) and no excitement in India's biggest forum, eh? Anyway, I am excited

Some pics of the beast in white to keep this thread going.

Looks like all the chrome on the car is covered with red tape! If only they covered the door handles with red vinyl, the transformation will be complete

Confirmed.

19th October will be a dual launch day for Fiat India - the Abarth Avventura will join the Abarth Punto Evo on the launch pad.

Expected pricing of the Abarth version of the Avventura is around 10 lakhs.

Quote:
Powering this performance crossover is a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine that puts out a maximum power of 140bhp and 210Nm of torque. It’s the same engine that does duty to the Abarth Punto. Transmitting power to the wheels is a 5-speed manual transmission. This powertrain is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 17.1kmpl (ARAI-rated figure). It is capable to mark 0-100kmph in 9.9 seconds.

Besides the engine, the Abarth Avventura also shares several equipment and styling cues with the Abarth Punto. On the exterior, the car features flared wheel arches equipped with Scorpion Sting design 16-inches alloy wheels. Similar to the Abarth Punto, it will get signature Abarth and T-Jet badging, grille in contrast horizontal slats, Abarth decals on sides and a sporty rear design.

The Abarth Avventura could be made available in three colour options – White, Red and Orange. Inside, the car will get new seat upholstery and Abarth badge on steering wheel. Braking power for the crossover will come from front and rear disc brakes.

Fiat is certainly coming out all guns blazing. By launching the Avventura also alongside, customers who have doubts regarding ground clearance of the Punto will have another potent option. Three days to go for the launch of the fastest budget hatch and fastest budget crossover. Nice

My sources confirm even though Punto Abarth & Avventura Abarth will be launched on the 19th in Delhi, one can see the vehicle in Bangalore only by the 22nd October. Also both Punto Abarth & Avventura Abarth will come in a SINGLE variant.

Awesome share RavenAvi and arguably the best 'Marketing Poster' by FIAT India Yet

FIAT seem to be brimming with so much confidence with the launch of Abarth Punto and looks like everything is falling in place for this Italian beauty.

I can only imagine what kind of awesome tag lines FIAT will come up with if & when they plonk the 1.6 MJD on their machines

Wow, Fiat is really giving the Abath powered twins all the marketing and interest garnering push they can. Loving their posts! Can't wait for the launch
Here's hoping they price it fair and tempting.
