re: 2016 BMW 7 Series. EDIT: Now spotted in India (page 3)

Looks new 7 has landed , don't understand how these guys transfer at so low rate - Rs 30 Lac assessable value that too including Air freight

This might be for some homologation purpose maybe as I understand they plan to launch 750 & probably 740D as CBU at time of launch somewhere in October / November

Being a long wheelbase version and also the fact that Europe is a diesel obsessed country, this could be a diesel version being tested.
Europe is still not a country - just saying.

Haha. Thanks a lot for pointing out this silly mistake. Mods, can some one please change "Europe" to "Germany"?

SCOOP! 2016 BMW 7 Series spotted in India!

An IAB reader has spied the all-new BMW 7 Series from up close at an unknown location in India for the very first time.

Earlier, a Motoroids reader snapped the car on a flat-bed truck in Pune.

Unveiled by BMW in June earlier this year, the all-new 7 Series hasn't started it's sales innings in any international market yet. It is due to have it's first public premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week.

Based on an all-new rear-wheel drive CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform, the ‘G11/G12’ 7 Series uses industrially made CFRP (Carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and weighs 130 kg lighter than its predecessor.

For the Indian market, BMW India plans on launching a petrol and a diesel variant of the new 7-er, but in the long wheelbase version only. The petrol 750 Li derives power from a 4.4-liter V8 TwinPower Turbo to deliver 444 hp, while the diesel 730 Ld makes use of an all-new B57 3.0-liter six-cylinder to produce 265 hp.

Both engines will be paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels; the xDrive AWD variant will not be available in India.

I believe I can actually save enough to buy this car by 2046

I've just invested a lot of money ( my entire life's savings ) in this promising new innovator called Agha Waqar Ahmed, an inventor based in Khairpur, Sindh,
Pakistan.

I believe this will be the next Eicher motors success story!

Can't hold back this time, BMW has really ruined the good looks of all it's cars, by joining head lights with kidney grills.
Not sure how many people are going to like it. Sadly, it is an eyesore for me, that too from a German mark which is known to make astonishing and elegant beauties.

Re: 2016 BMW 7 Series. EDIT: Now spotted in India (page 3)

Yes , they are taking bookings for April Delivery - in 2 Variants , Eminence will have most features including gesture controls & twin / panoramic roof , missing will be Laser Headlamps , Rear trays & star effect lights on roof which are on next trim . Prices are expected at same levels as existing given the huge discounting that was running on current generation .
