re: Tata developing a premium hatchback, the Altroz. Edit: Launched at 5.29 lakh.

It's obviously just a gimmick! Who will do an audit whether they received 100,000 visits? But it may make a small section of gullible people believe that this product has indeed garnered high interest levels!

These things better stop!

I remember Opera and Firefox can be set to auto refresh every x seconds. No need of a bot, just a background tab will do the clicking.

I think the best car launch this time around is MG Hector's even though price is still a top secret.

Now Tata will wait for 1,00,00,000 clicks for deleting rear fog lamps and then auto door lock etc.

Indeed, MG's marketing is doing its best to get all the attention. In my opinion, not at all required, though, as the oodles of chrome on the car will do the job just fine.

They messed up Harrier launch and looks like they are doing same with Altroz as well. Other than regular auto news followers no one knows about Altroz. We are going to see another launch with messed up variants and pricing. Hope they do not have quality issues like Harrier and no AMT please. All competitors have CVT (Baleno, Jazz, and i20).

Whosoever at Tata or Lintas came up with this ingenious idea of 100,000 hits for website launch, needs to be sent back to marketing school. They couldn't even manage 100,000 hits in a business day. I doubt if there can be something more demoralising for their sales and marketing team before the launch.

Unless the product is groundbreaking, I don't see it being an easy sell for their dealers. They already have Tiago family in sub 4m segment so, they should have gone bold and tried a real 'premium' hatchback. Something which is 4m+, maybe like the i30. I am sure it would have clicked with the urban young individuals/families. At least, they could have done a better dipstick test to guage interest than this website gimmick.

What a horrible website. After doing all these drama they launched the website with literally no information inside other than few fancy jargon. They did not even bother to put a picture of the car!

Anyone know what are those small projections on the bottom side of the Outside RVMs? Just design elements? Or is 360 degree camera? Blind spot assist/lane change assist? If it really is either of those, then it'll, without a doubt, create ripples in the industry.
If it isn't all of the above, what else can it be?

Wheel well cladding? Yes, unfortunately. Power window lights? Yes. Parcel tray strings? Yes. Crucial safety features like auto door locks? No. Not Tata.

Please go through that thread again and it's mentioned that it's simply an option that was found to be disabled. It could simply be a case of someone fiddling with the option and leaving it disabled. Let's stop spreading rumors please.

Can anyone answer this? Cannot seem to wrap my head around that. It could be 360 degree cameras, but I recently read somewhere that every car is making a loss for them in one way or the other, which is why I'm seriously doubting whether it's that. Lane change assist seems even more unlikely. What is it?

If that is true, then it is unfortunate but you mentioned auto door locks, which is what my reply was aimed at. I don't think Tata will delete auto door locks, abs, emergency door unlocking under crash, airbags etc. after a million clicks.
