I agree, my father had the old Elantra 1.8 petrol and it was a brilliant performer and was definetly ahead of its time. It is one car that I really miss driving. Although the FE was a bummer.

Re: 2015 Hyundai Elantra Facelift : A Close Look

Among all the Gizmos that Hyundai engineers fit in their cars, Ventilated seats is one that is extremely useful in Northern Part especially in HOT summer months.

Fluidic design philosophy of Hyundai, may not be up to everyone taste. Timeless elegance of VW (Germans in General) is where my heart will go! Few years back Skoda Octavia's L&K model had the Ventilated Seats feature but now its missing.

I have a small question about Projector lamps. I have been reading about this but lack little clarity.

Since this Elantra comes with Projector Halogen Lamp can I simply change the bulb to xenon or I will still need a conversion kit.

I will be taking delivery tomorrow.

Re: 2015 Hyundai Elantra Facelift : A Close Look

Yup, they should have added a more powerful engine too. Competition marketing people will use this as a point to grab to.

Sharing 2016's Elantra pix and rendering. Guess we can expect this in India by 2017.

Following teasers that showed the sleeker-looking next-gen Hyundai Elantra sedan, the South Korean automaker has decided to give the public another teaser of its upcoming C-segment sedan from various angles and in sketches, ahead of its anticipated debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Headlining the engine lineup of the Elantra will reportedly be a new 1.6 litre T-GDI turbocharged engine – which all-in-all should make 175 hp – paired to Hyundai’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Fuel-efficiency for the sixth-generation Elantra is rumoured to hit 5.4 litres per 100 km.

Re: 2015 Hyundai Elantra Facelift : A Close Look

I own a 2015 elantra diesel automatic, let me inform you that whatever people talk neagative about this car, its a wonderful car, with so much features, silent engine, crisp refinement, and decent music system, Bluetooth etc.

well the automatic is not as fast as its german rivals and the dual clutch would have made a great drivers cars.

there is a huge problem with the stability on uneven but tarred roads, the car just is not soild and u feel a little unsafe, but for which there is a ESP 6 airbags and all the other essential safety features.

you will not regret buying one.

Re: 2015 Hyundai Elantra Facelift : A Close Look

I was about to buy the creta petrol automatic. But now I have decided to wait and see the Elantra. The creta does not have many features and feels less premium as compared to d segment cars. Now the battle is between the Corolla and the new Elantra. I hope the official teambhp review of the Elantra comes soon!

Got calls from the Hyundai dealers stating that the model will be on display in showrooms from the 22nd of August in Bangalore. Will go see it and record first impressions here.

I'm about to pick up a used Elantra 1.6 and now am worried looking at your comment. Could you describe the exact issue that you face on bad roads? And how bad is the problem?

My car will be used primarily in Bangalore which is known for terrible roads. I hope this will not end up being a problem.

My test drives have been on reasonable road surfaces and I haven't experienced the issue that you describe.
