I feel that the following cars should come to India as they would be pretty well suited to our needs and within reasonable price range:

ford Focus
Mazda RX8
Land Rover Freelander
Fiat Panda
VW Beetle ( I know that it is available from Kashyap Motors, but what I am talking about is a company presence and service)

RR and Maybach for those filthy rich

that 1 lac car with good quality and safety construction from wherer ever.

A few funny looking Citrorens (include that xsara anyway)

Toyota Prius for those who count their coins twice in the petrol pump,

Gibbs Aquada for those who want to be different and out going, (and live in Mumbai)

In additon to what others have mentioned, we dont have a single proper convertible. A 3 series at 20L should be great for a start. So we can ogle at the rich girls driving them

Some of the Indian expressways are probably going to have higher speed limits than the ones in the US (65mph many; 70/75 mph some) soon enough. I think following cars will be interesting to have in India.

1. Chevy Corvette (0 to 100 kmph in about 4seconds)
2. Dodge Viper
3. Mazda Miata
4. Mini Cooper
5. the Mercedes Benz compact A/B classes and the performace AMG E63 etc.
6. A well equipped Toyota Fortuner/ 4Runner at the Rs.12-14L range.

That'll be outstanding, however, the last I checked the 400hp 'Vette retails for about $50000. The Z06 with its 505hp 7L engine (!) is so much in demand that it retails for about $85000, $10K more than the List price!

I know many will crucify me right now. But I like Peugeot's. They would work great in India. Please, in the indian context were the cars bad, even if they launched an outdated product? The 309's, to me, were a pleasure to drive. Whatever be the fate of that brand in India, Peugeot was not solely responsible.

I Wish Dude...

But Never Be Possible...

Last I Heard Is That Mahindra Is Hooking Up With One Of The Top Suv Manufacturing Company's(Cant Say Which) To Build A Really Top Class Indian SUV.

As Far As The Evo Is Concerned..

Mitsu Will Never Price The Car That Low...

Cause In Dubai The Car Costs AED140,000.......

But On An Average You Gotta Have AED10,000 a year For Insurance.
