Seeing their monthly sales figures, the EU manufacturers here could be sharing the stockyard for cost saving

I am not sure this has been discussed previously - how does Renault wants to position the "Pulse" after the release of Kwid? From the exterior looks, Kwid is actually better looking than the Pulse, and unless Pulse has something extra to offer, they cannot keep it at twice the price of Kwid.
And - any specific date of launch in October for Kwid?

Kwid is a wonderful product and I feel it to be COTY 2015.

Only surprise is reverse gear position, coz new buyers learn on a Maruti at Driver's school, and reverse gear there are down.

Yes that was the same thing bothering me.
I checked on quite a few websites selling alloys and they don't have any thing with 3 holes in 14", at least in stock. Even if they were available there would not be too many designs. As a prospective Kwid customer I am planning to wait for 6 months and if the Kwid is a huge hit( it will be hopefully), suffice to say we will be seeing a lot of alloy wheel manufacturers rolling out wheels for the Kwid. Plus the main reason for the alloy upgrade would be to fit fatter rubber as the stock ones looks P-U-N-Y!!!

Looks like this new k(w)id on the block will give the old-to k10 a run for its money. Just the suv-ish looks and claimed arai mileage should bring in a lot of footfalls to Renault showrooms. Surprised at the space Renault has managed to carve out in the car and in the boot.
Sightly bigger version of the kwid with the 1.5 Renault engine would really give MSIL sleepless nights

re: Renault's Kwid entry level hatchback unveiled EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 2.57 lakhs!

The Kwid could do to Maruti what the Nano tried and failed, pose a serious threat to the Alto.It looks good, the initial drive reports are positive, all it now needs is an inviting price to get people to overlook Renaults poor distribution network. If the Tata Kite also proves to be a winner, Maruti could face a serious threat to its bestsellers Alto and Wagon R.

re: Renault's Kwid entry level hatchback unveiled EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 2.57 lakhs!

Renault India will be launching a virtual showroom mobile app on 14th September for selling the Kwid.

This app will help prospective buyers to check out the Kwid in complete detail and also make comparisons, eventually booking the chosen Kwid model through the app too.

Renault has also organized a team of 100 special executives in Delhi dedicated to the Kwid that will be answering to prospective buyers' queries through live video conferencing and is going with the target of addressing at least 50 prospective buyers every hour with this app.

The Kwid will most probably be launched by end-September 2015, with prices probably starting from 2.9 lakhs.

Quote:
The concept of the app comes from Renault’s global platform and is expected to stay live for at least 100 days, the most crucial time for any new product. The automaker is trying to leverage technology and create an interactive virtual experience with the app. The French automaker also stated that the new virtual showroom will not only help in understanding the product better but also help in transacting better with the help of the app. The company also promises to cater to servicing needs of customers through mobile showrooms and mobile workshops as part of its plan.
