May be yes!
As we have already seen in the case of Brezza, Maruti did focus on customization options. There is a high probability that customizations would be made available for the Indian market too.
Aakarsh

The link says 4th quarter of the Fiscal year. So that means Jan-Mar 2017 right?
Fresh spy video of the Ignis doing the testing rounds in Delhi/NCR, courtesy
WhatCarBuyer India.
Gives a good glimpse at the size and compact dimensions of the mini-crossover.
Is it just me or does the Ignis look identical to the swift (till the B pillar) when viewed from the side profile ?

Yes it is in this Fiscal year, a Feb 2017 is the likely time frame for the launch!
Yup that's Maruti IGNIS almost close to launch date as Maruti is doing a good run on Gurgaon Roads as well.

Sorry for the blurred images as the car was in motion & wifey was giving her best shot
Car proportions are for sure awkward. Suzuki choosing practicality over form factor can a learn lot from their Japanese brothers Honda.
Nope not an iota of doubt i hate the design :)

Testing of Ignis will continue as the India launch likely to fall along with EU - early 2017!

Spoke to Nexa SA yesterday, based on him
1. Ignis will be launched through Nexa
2. Launch on 26-28 Oct
3. Price range 4-7 lakhs
Though he seemed quite confident I took all these with pinch of salt.
Suzuki Ignis at the Paris Auto show, expect the Indian version to be in similar lines. There will be a number of personalisation options available on the Ignis, such as a different colored roof.
Sale of Ignis in Europe will start in January 2017 (
could be a date for the India launch too)

the Ignis will be offered with both two and four-wheel drive, in line with its SUV-esque styling. Four-wheel drive will be an option, however. It should add around £1500 (1.32 Lakhs, INR)to the price of the car if it follows the same pricing strategy as the current Swift

European-spec car will be longer than its Japanese counterpart, which adheres to Japan’s strict 3.6m guidelines. The UK car will be 10-15cm longer, although the floorplan will be unchanged. Revised bumper designs will likely swallow up the added length

The engine line-up for the Ignis is as yet unconfirmed, with the exception of the 1.2-litre Dualjet engine, as used in the Baleno and Swift. A hybrid Ignis is expected, but not confirmed; the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) will be used if a hybrid powertrain does make it into the Ignis.

the Baleno weighs 905kg, and Suzuki confirmed that the Ignis will weigh around the same

Has it got 50-50 split rear seats? Is this setup not uncomfortable for the rear center passenger?
Forget being a mini-SUV? It's not even a mini-SUV-ish. Just a big hatch. Front is stunning but go to side and back and it's a different story altogether. Being Maruti, it will definitely sell but they have got to do something about that 80s taillamps. The all wheel drive in such a small car is a big thing though. A first, I guess, for any make.
Couldn't agree more.
I seriously think that it's All-New Wagon R and like i10 which is a Santro but sold side by side same may happen with Ignis.
Mind you Wagon R was positioned as MAV Multi Activity Vehicle.
