For C2 Segment: Honda and Ciaz are going to be market leaders for quite some time to come. Why? Because of Japanese tag IMHO.
Its actually not the blood line that counts but because of the fact that the cars are reliable, efficient, frugal and has great after sales.
It is not necessary that being Japanese will sell!!

Japanese like you have correctly said observe the Kaizen policy and this is evident in their products.

i20 surely is breathing on Swift's neck. Looks like it's a matter of time before it gets the no 1 spot in the segment. If it happens it would be a major psychological setback for Maruti for this segment and on the other hand, a major boost for Hyundai . Maruti would be hoping the launch of the new ik2 arrests i20's ascent further.

Honda's numbers for March are unusually high. While it may well be year end effect, is it also to do with completion and dispatches of reworked cars from their stockyard? I am referring to this news:

April 2015 sales numbers are yet to be published this month. Eagerly waiting for the 'most anticipated' thread!!

Will be interested to see how the i20, Amaze, Ciaz and Zest have fared in April.

No one noticed Toyota shipping 24 1.5cr SUVS?(Land-Cruiser), when they shipped 9 units I was surprised now I'm really suprised !
The Fortuner sales too seems to have increased in spite of the price hikes.
