The X3 prototype is taking the final shape, waiting for pictures without the camouflage!
Doesn't it look odd that the front and the rear alloys are different?
Pretty sure that is done intentionally or it's wheel might be swapped or something.

Well, such things on test mules are very common.

As this would be also in interest to keep the actual wheel design hiding till the car is revealed/launched

Nice! The new X3 looks pretty much like the current which is good in my opinion. Not sure from the pictures if the X3 has grown in size (it doesn't appear so). X3 would need to pack in a lot more and grow in size to outpace the new X1 as the same is pretty much 80-85% of X3 at less than 70% its price.

The new X1 grew taller and shorter in length compared to the old one. Looking at the camouflaged new X3, it looks like it will be shorter (height) but longer than the current one.

Flat exhaust pipes on either side also seem to be a new addition for 6 cylinder models. Present 6 cylinder models have dual round tail pipes on the left only.

Competition will be really hot for the new X3. The Merc GLC is already here and is well received worldwide. The new Audi Q5 will be out soon and the Jaguar F Pace is creating its own niche. I guess the new Volvo XC60 will also join the party in 2017.

Edit :Are my eyes deceiving me, or do I see halogen lamps beside regular Xenons? In 2017 the market will not accept anything other than LEDs!

Looks more rounded than the outgoing X3. Big bulky front grille and head lamps again getting separated from the grille itself.

Also noticed twin exhaust pipes. Something of new design language from BMW. Now even the 2.0d engines get the new twin exhausts.

Looks bigger in proportions and hope the interior fit and finish gets carried from the new 5 into this one.

BMW X3 launches on 26th, but as usual here are the leaked images of it.

Codenamed G01, the new X3 replaces a design that's over seven years old. A new platform uses high strength steel and soaks up the bumps using double wishbone front and multilink rear suspension.
