Re: Updated Mahindra XUV5OO caught testing?

I happened to sit in the front passenger sit of the XUV few days earlier and I found the under thigh support to be lacking.

The plastics on the interior can be improved too. And of course, please remove the hunch on the tail gate and tone down the hideous front face.

This is something I am definitely looking forward to. And hope they do something about the glossy center console which causes a lot of reflection on bright sunny days and this is not good when driving. Also, looking forward to changing the "Red" lighting theme to something more soothing like a "pale blue" colour. Somehow I have never liked the red lights and the Infotainment system with the Red background.

I think they should get rid of the cheetah theme from XUV and make it look more pleasing to eye.

Despite the camouflage on the front, it doesn't seem to have changed much. You can make out the impression of those ridiculous whiskers under the masking.

To start with, a simple clean up job could also help I feel.

Looks like the top portion of the grille now sits flush with the headlights and not pushed high up.

That along with loss of whiskers at the front and removal of the big mustache at the rear will make the XUV look real smart. Also, I hope Mahindra will give darker interior shades for white and black colored cars too.

Re: Updated Mahindra XUV5OO caught testing?

As others mentioned it's very hard to notice any big difference. Does anyone know when it's going to hit the market? I am waiting for it. I am sure changes will be minimal. Hope they fix the known niggles and provide us a reliable vehicle.

I personally feel just removing the whiskers will make a positive impact. I actually like the grill

Re: Updated Mahindra XUV5OO caught testing?

Based the pictures, I can sense below changes:

1. New alloy wheel design.
2. New number plate housing in the back.
3. Minor changes to the paw styled door handle.
4. Front grill being moved down.
5. Glaring dashboard being modified.

Re: Updated Mahindra XUV5OO caught testing?

Puneet, thanks for sharing the rear pics.

My guess is, the rear small mustache type black plastic piece (shown in first picture below) would be replaced with a much more beefy black-plastic or chrome coated piece which would sort of highlight the M&M logo at the rear.

Tried it in paintbrush, just to give an idea. Please excuse the poor quality of the paintbrush job .

Current rear:

My guess of how new one would look like:

Since only the front door handles are covered, the update version may come with keyless entry now.

Re: Updated Mahindra XUV5OO caught testing?

I wish they drop the W4 version as it overlaps the Scorpio top end model. Moreover W4 with barebone features doesn't justify the XUV premium tag.

Mahindra should be definitely appreciated for providing ABS/Airbags on even base model of XUV and also on S4+, S6+ models of Scorpio.
