Ha...let me be the first to assure you that there are quite a few people who have the feeling of Once a Ford, Always a Ford including me.

Once a Doctor from US said FORD means, Forget Operation Repair Daily,

I wish to re phrase Ford Onroad Reckon Drive-ability

Wish you Miles of Smiles

My fellow BHPians, here are some more pictures i got from my friend today :) -

Wonder what was Ford thinking at the time of launching this product and where they see themselves with positioning of the product.

Sad but true, another competent product from Ford may soon become obsolete.

Hi, yes you are right, there are ain't enough Fiestas on the road that gives us a feel of a well made product selling well

From the interaction i had with my fellow Ford guys, they are not aiming to make wonders in the sales chart. Plant commissioning in Sanand, new cars on the anvil are keeping them busy looks like.

A million bucks, sheer driving pleasure - a rare blood group, donors are welcome :D

Now you are talking, so many people had to work hard to make you spill the beans

Look at the beans..my oh my! Red Rage

Considering to change Porschefire to Fordsfire??

once you get her on road..you will have tough time explaining on lookers, that includes me in Bellandur area :uncontrol

mods do we have a wolf smiley for hot looking cars

I had a test drive of Fiesta this weekend, infact was in a test drive mode this weekend and test drove Duster,Fiesta and XUV. I went to the Honda showroom too but they refused the test drive :deadhorse(perhaps their yard was flooded in Chennai incessant rains so no cars available for test drive).

Enough has been said about the driving dynamics and i complete agree to it. It is super silent for a Diesel and rides excellent.I have been driving a petrol I20 for all these years so the driving dynamics of Fiesta was a revelation for me. Hopefully i will be booking one shortly here at Chennai.

Duster is quite accomplished in ride and handling but I can't convince my better half for the plain interiors, we liked the AWD interiors though but that is pricey.

XUV is big and i donot want to burden my conscience about wasting the natural resources by driving alone in it everyday.( No offense please)

Though I am ford fan, my take is - after your first car doing test drives and settling in for what you want rather than what is offered / advised is a better bet

As you clearly mentioned enough has been said about the build, drive, ergonomic stuff. If it strikes a chord with you, then get it and love it.

Happy buying

If anyone 'release' an ownership thread please mention it here as am closely watching and waiting for one just like others.

I took a test drive of this car. Was mighty impressed with the way steering weighs up and with the comfort of the front seats (I currently own a figo).

while climbing a over bridge I felt that the car was struggling a bit in its 3rd gear(30 km/h) with AC on. But once climbed, the car just pulled without any issues and raced past 50 in no time.

Is it normal ?

I had booked a Panther Black-Titanium. Getting it delivered tomorrow.:) Will put up pics after taking delivery!

P.S - You do get a bit of cash discount if a Ford employee can refer you.:D

What a way to start your team bhp account, first post says it all. Welcome to the community with a sophisticated arsenal. Superb colour choice as well.

Wish you a happy experience of owning a black bird and make sure photos are in good numbers

Congratz! Since you are from the same city. Would love to know which dealership you dealt with and how long you had to wait.

I booked the car at MPL Teynampet. I booked it at the end of August. But my friend at Ford says he can get it delivered in a week from booking it. Its just that the number of cars being made available to the dealers is less.

I have always felt this way whenever going up a slope and found it better to be on 2nd gear till about 35 kmph. Shifting at that speed to 3rd makes it very smooth because torque is somewhat low till you get to 1100-1200 rpm.

The Fiesta is tall geared and at 30 kmph, the rpm is around 1050. At that rpm, it takes a bit of time to spool up speed. It is best to shift to 2nd and get the speeds up to 35 kmph and shift up.
