Some things that immediately stand out

2) Gap between the rear wheel and the rear bumper looks too awkward.
Well I guess it's the black plastic mud-flap/guard that makes it look like that.

Also, I guess the AMT option is not available with Airbag (so no VXi(O) AMT) :(
The reviewers have smartly shuffled between showing the exteriors of VXi(O) and interiors of VXi AMT even in their video reviews.
So if you want an AT hatchback with airbags, the Brio and Micra are still the only options available.

This is what I did not want, although it's not entirely unexpected considering that the Celerio AMT is not available in ZXi or ZXi(O) variants and the Ritz AT is not available in ZXi trim level either.

Why is it so difficult for companies like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai to offer an automatic hatchback with at least a driver airbag (if not two) as optional when their manual versions offer the same? They should stop paying heed to the utterly clueless fellows in their marketing departments.

So we're back to square one now. As both the Brio and Micra automatics are available only in their top variants, the wait for a reasonably priced automatic hatchback with airbag(s) continues. It's very surprising and unfortunate that companies like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai are not able to sense the increasing demand for a safe, convenient, comfortable and peppy car for city slickers who hit the highways occasionally.

What a game changing move by Maruti!
Expected an AMT option on a Swift or WagonR after Celerio, but, Alto K10 came as a pleasant surprise.
I'm sure the model will continue to lead the sales charts for a long time!

Any idea about prices? Heard it will be 20-25k cheaper than the Celerio. I don't know why Maruti revamps the old things. Why can't they launch a new vehicle with good build quality. Look how smartly they put the Alto 800 body on the Alto K10 and named it new K10.

If a dealership in Jaipur is to be believed, then only the VXi trim will be equipped with the AMT option and will be priced around 3.9 lacs.

K10 is the engine, same as the 800 in "Alto 800" name.

This is one time we can't really complain - this is the new Alto design , whether we like it or not. Unlike Eon where they have the same design for 800 and 1000cc engines, Maruti chose to have some minor differences for the bigger engine.

re: Scoop! Maruti Alto K10 facelift caught EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 3.06 lakh

Pricing announced:

LX – INR 3.06L
LXi – INR 3.21L
VXi – INR 3.37L
VXi (O) – INR 3.56L
VXi AMT – INR 3.8L

re: Scoop! Maruti Alto K10 facelift caught EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 3.06 lakh

Even though the pricing for the AMT appears fair, the extra 60K for the celerio vxi gives a far better package, the headroom, legroom and bootspace. It would be interesting to watch how the variant does. They should have had an AMT in the lxi.

Lxi CNG seems pretty steep!!

Infact, an AMT seems a better VFM.
A bare bones LXi CNG should have been an ideal VFM if priced at 3.5 range.

Re: Scoop! Maruti Alto K10 facelift caught

Yet another cheap-&-made-out-of-tin-foil-with-no-regard-to-safety hatchback from the largest car seller in India!

Expect to see a gazillion bookings soon, with the mango people flocking the showrooms clutching their checkbooks, discussing about .0001% lower interest rates from the banks, and how the other dealer is throwing in a deity idol for free along with some mud flaps and a box of tissues.

Soon, in a years time, the manufacturer will release a so called Limited Edition with puke inducing graphics, boasting how millions of people have fallen in love with our tin can. It will have the same crappy plastic interior, in a different color, and some el-cheapo seat covers. Again, the mango folks will put down their money in exchange for some crappy ancient technology that isn't used anymore in the civilized world, in a car that is as well built as a box of cigarettes.

Typical.

If you are comparing then K10 AMT to Celerio VXI AMT then the difference is around 60K, But Celerio has a LXI AMT as well which is priced at 4.14Lac (Ex-showroom Delhi). Why wouldn't I spend 34K more to have larger and more competent sized car instead of opting for the K10. The Feature difference between K10 AMT and celerio LXI AMT alone will not justify the small price difference. from the website of Maruti, I guess K10 AMT will only have front power windows and a music system as additional features over Celerio LXI AMT

I think Maruti have messed up the pricing strategy this time, The LXI CNG and VXI AMT should have been priced at least another 15 - 20K Lesser which also means that the other variants should have been priced at least 10K lesser.
