Honestly speaking the car dimensions looked almost similar to the outgoing Figo.

They have changed the contours and styling to the more contemporary fashion like the Aspire. I think Punto still has more presence than the Figo.

Saw this Silver Figo which just arrived today at Talera Ford. It is 80% identical to Figo Aspire excluding the rear boot section.
Interiors look upmarket, upholstery and plastic material used were all black on this one.
Tyres provided seem to be of same size as on Figo Aspire (Amazer 3G), should provide better handling

Looks great in Silver but the all black/gray interiors are looking a bit dull.

I think it looks bigger than the outgoing Figo. Also, the body colors seems to be the same as provided in Aspire. Eagerly awaiting the price details.

^^ I actually liked this combination – silver with black interiors. The hatchback looks much smarter than its compact sedan sibling. Looking forward to the first drive impressions of this one.

Expect pricing to be between 4.2 lakhs - 6.5 lakhs for the petrol Figo, and 5.2 - 7.5 lakhs for the diesel Figo, as per my Ford sources.

AT might be around the 7 lakh range. All prices, ex-showroom Delhi.

GT TDI: 103 PS @ 4400 RPM and 250 NM of torque @ 1500 RPM costs 10.15 Lacs OTR in Chennai
New Figo: 100 PS @ 3750 RPM and 215 NM of torque @ 1750 RPM would cost about 8.75 Lacs considering the aspire titanium is about 9.20 lacs

Other features aside, ain't the new figo a much better proposition than the GT TDI? (no offense to current GT TDI owners

Performance close to GT TDI with better mileage and savings of 1.4 Lacs with A.S.S of both Ford and Volkswagen being more or less similar

All in all the new figo will be the mass market hot hatch for sure

That seems to be an accurate price estimate considering the diesel Aspire starts at 5.9 here. So a difference of 60-70k is quite justified.

AT at 7 lac with that awesome engine is gonna be a smashing hit. I hope people give it proper recognition this time and don't reject it just cos it's a Ford ( I know many people who don't even look at Tata and Ford cars). Such bias needs to be corrected.

Not sure if anyone noticed. But the website given by Jonsnow mentions a 6 speed manual for the all new Figo. I am not sure if this was discussed earlier or whether it is for the diesel only. I dont think Aspire has a 6 speed transmission even for the diesel variant. Attaching snippet from the site.
