From the silhouette it looks like a low car. It could be a Passat estate which again does not make sense.

Other option could be the regular facelifted Tiguan, not the Allspace.

Since the T-ROC was quite compact, VW may not bother bringing it again since it will end up being quite close to the Taigun india made SUV. So the end result could be to have the smaller Tiguan to compete with the facelifted Compass and leave the larger SUV category to Skoda to get the Kodiaq TSI.

Why not a completely new car like the Taos/Tharu or the Nivus? Why are we ignoring that possibility? That size is perfect for India as a Creta rival. - The T-Cross (Taigun) and the Taos would make great rivals for the Nexon segment and the Creta segment, and they can keep the T Roc in the Compass segment.

Remember, the T Roc sold out within few months, and it is a pretty competent car I must say.
Discontinuing a car (albeit CBU) after one year from its launch is something I doubt VW would do.

Taos is a Jeep Compass rival. Possible to launch, but could clash with T ROC in pricing.

Nivus will clash with Taigun in pricing.

Taigun (T Cross) is the SUV that will take on Creta.

T ROC will continue to be sold as CBU.

Taigun will be a Creta competitor, and therefore not within 4 m (in the compact SUV space), as far as I am aware. More like 4.2m, approximately.

Seems like the next launch, after the Taigun, will be the face-lifted Tiguan.
And my SA's strong belief is that it will be the 5 seater, rather than the AllSpace variant.

Interesting that this journalist is mentioning that the Tiguan will come with a 2.0 ltr engine with AWD. All previous indicators were that it would come with a 1.5 tsi and FWD. If it does come in the specs mentioned in the previous post, i.e AWD, this will be a very tempting prospect. I would definitely be interested.

- The government should allow easier import of parts and do away with special tax benefits reserved only for cars under 4 metres.
