re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

Saw this picture of the AMT lever on twitter #zestdrive is the hash tag. Looks really nice and sophisticated than what Maruti has implemented. We can also see a "S" mode I guess this is from the Revotron variant.

They could be correct. TML seems to have gone two steps behind on this

This is from the top-end model

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

Going by Sirish Chandran(Editor-Evo India) tweets, he seems to be pleasantly surprised by the Zest petrol!!!.

Btw there is an embargo on reviews till Monday.

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

Looks like there are two versions of Harmon infotainment system. Second one has bigger screen and has one row of button array missing.

Both images are taken from twitter #zestdrive

Pics of Tata Zest from the media drive or should I say #ZestDrive in Goa. There is a new color too. Looks fab and surely this will be a winner for Tata.

In his tweet Shirish mentions that the AMT pic is from the diesel zest

"Diesel @TataZest with AMT tranny"

If true then its definitely a game changer

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

The beige one is apparently the diesel varient. One can notice that it does not seem to have the DRL-LED

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

All the tweets and pics and Tbhp'ians inputs are clearly indicating the Bolt/Zest is a boost for the sluggish Tatas #s over the last 3-4 years. Just pray they dont misread this thread and price it super-stupid like the Aria!

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

was speaking to someone in the know and close to the entire development exercise. person mentions the contribution of JLR engineers have been consideraoble in the development cycle. Especially ride and handling. Person said that everything went through a fine toothcomb, starting from the "door-shut-thud-at-showroom" to steering feel to shift feel (for manual), etc.

person even went on to say that the Zest / Bolt twins are far better than immediate competition and can easily be passed off with "phoren-badging/logo" on its nose

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

Biege looks good.

It will be good if it indeed can pass as foreign.

Why is no review till Monday? Is there a formal revealing on that day?

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

Tweets from all those who tested hinting at a blockbuster from Tata.

Looks like I found my Fiat Uno replacement.. despite the new Punto & Polo being released at the same time. Only question is whether it would be Diesel or Revotron.

re: On the Tata Bolt Hatchback

i just read this article about AMT:
http://overdrive.in/news/maruti-suzu...-transmission/

it says,
Quote:
Now, not only is Maruti the first to launch an AMT equipped car, it uses the 4th generation of the Magneti Marelli system, where as industry sources tell us that both Tata and Mahindra intend to use the 3rd generation. Mr. Rao tells us that his reasons to go with gen 4 were straightforward – it is significantly more efficient and ergo in true Maruti tradition, ‘zyaada degi’ and it also packages the TCU and the hydraulic system in one unit saving quite a bit of space. But the real challenge that he reckons that Tata and Mahindra will face is to tune the AMT so as to make the actuation smooth while making it as efficient as possible.
hope AMT in TATA cars lives upto the expections (not so high though).
