In One Word.. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a Bow Tata Motors Limited!

Extraordinary effort and a Big Thumbs Up!

Sad that Karl isn't around to see this become a best seller! I will take the risk to say that this will be the benchmark for future cars in India.. Features to Styling..

Congratulations India! Once again Tata makes every Indian Proud!

Jai Hind! Jai Ho!

Both cars looks fabulous, amazing job!

Not to take away anything from late Karl Slym, but the real work on this re-design was probably done by scores of designers and engineers working hard at TATA motors design studios and floors. It is their creation. Makes me really happy that TATAs have leveraged their international buyouts and features are trickling down from the premium TATA motors brands to more modest ones.

Compared to international brands, TATA motors is very young and what they have achieved in such a short time is really commendable. Things can only get better, wish their QC dept works equally hard and deliver solid products. Thumbs up!

It would have been even better had they managed to hide the silhouette that resembles the Vista.
Nevertheless both the cars look great. I would definitely consider the Zest when I am out shopping for my next car. I cannot wait to see how the Revetron performs in real world.

Good Come back by TATA .I feel they have potential Challengers to regain the lost Market share .The Catch is to keep the momentum till the execution (Pricing ,Delivery and After Service and Delivery etc ).

Re: Tata Falcon hatchback, compact saloon to debut at 2014 Auto Expo *EDIT* Now unvei

I have to admit, after seeing the Aria and the all new Safari Storme, I thought I wouldn't see the day when I would be excited by a new car from Tata. I am so glad, TMIL has proved me wrong and how!!

Things I like about both the cars:

- The profile view has changed so much, with fluidic-ish slashes/shoulder line which gives a nice character and the two slashes together work on the Zest much better.

- If you hide the Tata logo on the steering and infotainment screen, people would believe that this interior is from Hyundai or some nice concept car from Honda. Big thumbs up.

- The bumper design is very modern and adds to the car's appeal.

- The boot integration on the Zest is a great achievement and is much better than the Amaze and D(oberman-tailed-car)Zire

- The new Revotron engine. Turbos are the future in making cars efficient and powerful.

What I dislike:

- The grill could have been better, especially since it has huge resemblance to the Vista.

- Blacked out C- pillar on the Bolt. Don't think it goes well with the car.

- The Beige/Creamish color on the steering wheel. A serious no, if you have sweaty palms.

Concerns I have:

- Marketing: A good marketing team can make a hit out of a lemon and it applies vice versa. Please hire a new ad agency and fire the one you have. Have you guys seen the new Nano Twist ad? Dear Tata, we don't buy cars to drive on walls of buildings and to make Coil springs out of Women, however Twist-ed we are.

- Safety -There is no airbags or SRS signs on any of the steering and dashboard shared in the pics. I am sure it would be in the Top variants, but it would help if Tata takes a stand and provides driver airbag and ABS across variants in both cars. This is vital especially it he back drop of GlobalNCAP test results.

- A.S.S - I have taken my brother-in-law's Vista to the Tata service centre once and that's the day I decided, no Tata car for me. Despite the fact I love the space inside the car and the decent ride. I am sorry to say this but the taxi walas and other yellow board cars should be serviced in the Tata commercial motors dealership. The customer waiting area was so bloody dirty and you are definitely treated as a customer's driver and not as a customer.

I wish the Tata Motors team true success and these lovely cars pay tribute Karl's legacy at Tata.

Cheers,
D.

Tata makes another splash, just like 2008, when the vista was launched.
The car looks a stunner. I just hope they price it right (and not like the Aria).
The hydraulic Power steering appears to be a casualty here. Let's wait for the TD report
<insert standard comment about Tata's Service needing to improve>

I sure want to own this TATA hatch. Looks really nice and the pictures suggest good quality. The rear quarter view snap reminds me of the Figo and the rear tail lamp cluster looks like shrunk down Stile units. The theme seems to revolve around sporty. Absolutely love the clocks though it does not look like those highly detailed one's are making it to production cars. They are still nice. Well done Tata.

These two launches are indeed miles ahead of what TML has been doing so far. As swiftnfurious said, involving Narain Kathikeyan to tune and develop the dynamics of the cars shows that Tata Motors now know it is high time to take the game seriously or else they will keep on loosing the market share.

I just hope they price it competitively (which I believe they will), and the quality as well as fit and finish also matches that of its competitors.

The real shocker was the interior quality!

Hats off to TATA's efforts. Great improvements over current models on offer. A sharp quest for quality and little efforts to get the after sales service up to the mark will surely help them achieve great sales. All the best TATA.

Re: Tata Falcon hatchback, compact saloon to debut at 2014 Auto Expo *EDIT* Now unvei

Wow! This is truly amazing. At first I didn't believe it was a tata car. My TASS service advisor was telling me about these launches a month ago where he said there are many launches in 2014 and 2015. Apparently there are couple of SUV/MUV launches also. I hope they bring in the Aria AT or atleast AMT. One of the hint he gave me was about an upgraded Sumo and a smaller version of Safari. The recent upgrades to their showroom and their service centers in Concorde Motors all means they are aiming to compete with the foreign brands here.

Seeing the Bolt and Zest you can't help wonder about the hand of Karl Slym in these cars. They are just so Euro. One could never imagine this level of design from Tata and such features and technical ability. Turbo Petrol, AMT are a game changer in today's times and Tata have kept up with the biggies.

The design of the Bolt has particularly left me impressed including the interiors which look brilliant.

PS: Did anyone notice the dials. For a change a new car launch with the temperature gauge. Kudos.

Can't agree more with all the comments posted here today. Fabulous effort put in by the Tata team which reflected in their new products. Also, this is a do or die situation for the Tata Motors as any misstep here would have wiped out another 5 years off their product development and customer mind share. Great start, all the best from here on for marketing, sales and customer service.

I liked Bolt with its cute design and I would like a premium version of it with all bells and whistles.

The front still has the lines from the Manza :(
The rear of the hatch back is the best bit. Looks very Evoque'ish. Loved it
A clean 6/10 for the styling effort, I would say

But, does it excite? I still dont see a single USP for it.
More car per buck?
