Maybe we should have an official review of A4 with upgraded engine and transmission, just to see how it stands in comparison to the current 3/C?

Is the 140 BHP enigne going to the A3 Sedan ? This may be Audi's way of differentiating between A3 and A4

Audi A3 sedan would be powered by a 2.0 TDi rated at 150 Bhp. Considering the new upcoming Octavia would be having the same 2.0 TDi engine with 150 Bhp on tap.

So Jetta, Octavia and A3 would all be having the same engine rated at 150 Bhp. This move definitely in line to differentiate A4 from its younger sibling A3.

The upcoming Octavia seems to be all set to boast of the 140 (142bhp? I think) version of the 2.0 TDI. So, it's really the same 140bhp tune that every variant seems to be getting, not the 150 bhp sold outside India. If this is the same 150 bhp version, slightly tweaked (and downgraded on power), I have no idea.

If they can launch the A3 sedan@22lakh showroom, I think they just have a car to become the bestselling luxury car from first day of its launch.

I expect the new A3 to also boast of the same engine(140-142 bhp), not the 150 one.

The new Octavia shall be coming with a 150 PS 2.0 TDi engine for sure. The older 140 PS is currently doing rounds in Laura and Jetta. May be Jetta too shall get a upgrade later on.

A3 may be priced at 22 lacs but given the current situation of depreciating Re, it too may turn out to be quite over priced just like the BMW 1 series. All though A3 would be coming with the 150 PS 2.0 TDi engine. Have a go through the below Wikipedia link listing the diesel engine options.

What abhi_automobile says is infact correct. The octavia maybe coming in the 150ps tune in europe etc but for India its going to continue in the 140ps/320nm specs.

Autocar Review of the slightly more powerful A4. The dash from 0 to 100 takes marginally less than 9 seconds now compared to the earlier 11 seconds. Seems this Blue shade is also a recent addition as seen in the review.

The new Audi A4 Premium Sport is the new-mid variant, and sits below the A4 Technology pack trim and above the A4 Premium variant. The Audi A4 Premium Sport gets new 20-spoke 17-inch alloys, and a new front bumper and chin to differentiate it from the standard A4.
The interiors are all black as compared to the dual-tone layout in the standard A4. It also comes with a carbon-black styling package which includes black wing mirrors, window sills and a black door moulding. The A4 Premium Sport is available only in two paint shades, red and white.

I can't believe how they are jacking up the price. This is basically the Premium plus variant sold earlier. Just a few extras with the carbon styling and 20 spoke alloys!!

Wonder how Audi is faring in the numbers game this year with them blowing their their horns loud last year!! Don't see much of the new ones on the road recently while spotting lots of new E-classes this year.
