Does this mean that the Active Tjet is priced at 6.99 Lakhs, a discount of 65K from the start. As far I know, 6.99L is Active with FIRE engine, no TJet for it. The TJet starts from 7.64L

Looks like the 6.99 Lakhs is for the Active 1.4 FIRE (non-TJET) Petrol.
Initially they were supposed to launch the new Linea only with the TJET engine and now they are also providing it with the non-TJET engine.

The non T jet petrol has only a single base version which retails for 6.99 L Ex Showroom. The T jet starts at 7.64 L as mentioned earlier by neoonwheels.

I have the 2009 Linea 1.4 Petrol Emotion Pack - been extremely satisfied with it. I would buy the 2014 1.4 T-Jet if they do decide to launch it with an automatic transmission. I have taken a conscious decision not to buy manual transmissions anymore because most of my driving is within city limits.

It was categorically mentioned that the facelifted Linea will be available only in Multijet or Tjet version. Remember the gap in the side panel, where the earlier turn indicator light used to be, was filled with a version batch.

As per news report and the other forum report, the 6.99L version is with FIRE engine without Turbo.

We recently reported that the pre-bookings for the facelift Linea had begun. However, today Fiat has launched the 2014 Linea facelift starting from 6.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).

Shouldn't the 1.4L FIRE version of Linea be called Linea Classic?? I thought Linea classic comprises of the 1.4L FIRE & 1.3L 75bhp MJD.

Guess it's total confusion!

Regardless of what was mentioned, this is what is being launched. There is a non T jet petrol available, the active FIRE.

It is not technically the Classic if it comes with the new bumper/grill and the other minor tweaks of the 2014 lineup as is mentioned in the website, They are just using the same engine.
