Found this. It is the facelift 2014 Suzuki Swift. The news is unveiled by the their German website. It is assumed to hit market on late 2013 or by 2014 beginning. Apart from the LED DRLs on the fog, just like the i20's there hasn't been any modification changes. The power train remains the same. No news about the interior though. Not much of a deal at all. But that fog looks rather nice, IMO :).

Suzuki Unveiled the third generation of swift in 2010. Last week we reported about Suzuki working on the facelift version of Swift. Now Suzuki German website has revealed the Swift facelift. Suzuki hasn’t made any changes for the swift design. Swift is always famous for the sharp looks. So engineers doesn’t have to do anything on looks. To go with the current trend of LEDs. Suzuki has given L-shaped LED Lights in the fog lamps. This is a copy cat from the Hyundai i20. Hyundai added LED lights to i20 last year.

Apart from the LEDs the Indicators are now placed in OVRMs from the front wheel arches. Side and rear of swift remains to be same. Globally Swift Facelift comes with a new golden shade. We hope that it will come to India also. Details about the Interior are not available now. But we can expect the interior to be remain the same. Mechanically swift is unchanged. Engines remains to be the same. 1.3 L Multijet Diesel engine and the 1.2 L K-Series engine. In India we can expect Maruti to introduce Automatic gearbox in the petrol version. Swift facelift will make its global debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show.

So its not just in India that one makes a trivial change (move the indicators to the ORVM, add DRLs) and call it a facelift? Oh, and a new shade.

Ho hum.

Well, why fix something if it ain't broke!! Some bloke from Maruti must have led the facelift team. Nothing else explains this silly upgrade. I hope they do not call this as "All New Swift".

And, this design was leaked? Seriously? May be Suzuki intentionally let the images out to gauge feedback from forums like ours !!

Maruti is the only company in India which can afford to call all these minor changes as a facelift

+1 agree: . Something like a new power house under the hood , new design alloys (or a whole new car! ) and new interiors would have been considered a whole 'new' swift , Not the car we see here .

After Tata, Maruti goes the same road- 'Secret Facelifts'. Frankly, the only thing I noticed was the new shade.

Although trivial, I think the DRLS's will make the Swift look even better. IF IF and only IF they are not as overly bright as the I 20's. The I 20's are an eye sore because of the brightness.

Also, the alloys in this picture looks more sporty than the current ones. Changes a lot of character in the car, if only they come to India.

Had to scroll to the comments below OP to find the 'facelift'!

How and why does this even count as a facelift?

Didn't the European Swift come with DRLs already? I thought it was mandatory in Europe for passenger cars to have DRLs, since last 1-2 years.

If at all current European Swift does not have DRLs, then I guess this facelift is only to comply with European norms. We may never see this facelift in India then!

Whaaaat!! A Suzuki facelift and no stickers anywhere? Me sad :)

Stickers are reserved for limited editions.:D

Got this from the quarter mile magazine. The meter console have blue lighting which in my opinion will look rather cheap. This is really pathetic. What I think is, msil will just add the DRL to the options list of the current for a price of say 10k, just like the i20.

I reckon the led drl's would look much better on the headlight unit rather than the fog lamps

With polo gt tsi in the market ,true 'face lift' for swift shoud have been something on similar lines(with 16 inch wheel profiles)

How does the blue look bad? I think it looks great. Look at the i20 interiors and how classy that blue looks.

Also the MID looks like a direct rip off from the VW stable; especially the bigger brothers (Jetta, Passat and the likes).

I don't think the facelift Swift will come any time soon. The current gen swift has had a makeover from the earlier gen not too long back and Maruti really cannot afford a major design makeover any time sooner.

Interesting. We in India feel that There is hardly any change and wondering what the germens would feel :) This is like solving a puzzle, asking them to spot the differences.

That DRL looks like, Oh we are now terribly overpriced in India, better put something extra to maintain the sales. I think anyone can put the LED strips in that shape and call it DRL !!
