It looks like Honda will launch AT version of Jazz with both a 1.2L engine and 1.5L engine.

We may see a RS variant of Jazz with 1.5L engine and a CVT gearbox. This could be Honda's response to Polo GT TSI. Honda has imported CVT assembly for both the engine variants which indicates this possibility.

The parts imported seem to head towards that direction damager21. I believe they will leave the 1.5L mill + CVT + 16" for the RS version.

Hope they have the MT for the RS version too. Would really spice it up

Oh boy...finally the Japanese giant seems to have woken up. I know its still early days, but seems like things are finally heading in the right direction.

I am happy and sad at the same time. Sad because I settled for a Brio AT quite recently, happy because this would force other players in the market to follow suit. I guess VW does deserve some credit for getting the ball rolling with the TSi.

That's a very welcome step. And a big differentiator from the Amaze AT. I just hope Honda doesn't couple it with other bling features and price it way north! A lower 1.2 AT variant, a top spec 1.5 AT and a bling RS variant would be ideal.

As per Gaadiwaadi, Honda has started production of Jazz with launch expected in March.

The RS variant, if it becomes a reality, will be one hell of a checkmate against the GT, YRA & Elite.

For all Jazz lovers and awaiting its launch, here is some good news!

Jazz production continues at at its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. 600+ units speculated to be built.
Could launch after the budget.

From the above pics, looks like Honda is aiming for a low starting price or the base variants.

Lower Variants -

+ Wheel caps.

- Will have black ORVM caps (Not body coloured)
- Black door handles.

Higher Variants

+ Alloy wheels. Design much better than the 4th gen City.
+ Rear wash/ wipe.
+ Rear defogger.

- Tyres look skinny for both variants. 175 R 15 again as in City?
- No fog lamps.
- No ORVMs mounted indicators.
- Old school long antenna at the front for all variants.
- Dont see parking sensors.
- Dont see the rear view camera (In the place where its mounted on the international version. Protruding below the H logo to the left. Hopefully either sensors / camera is present.)
- No adjustable rear headrests. Fixed ones dont look useable as well!

We can see base and Mid variant in these pictures. I am assuming that Honda will launch Jazz in 4 variants - Base, Mid, Top and RS.

This is Base variant which comes with black door handles, black ORVM and without alloy wheels


This is Mid variant which comes with body color door handles, body color ORVM and alloy wheels. What we can also see is height adjustable seat belts in this variant. Thankfully Honda has retained this feature which was there in previous version Jazz as well.


Top variant Jazz will definitely come with indicators on ORVM, short radio antenna, chrome finished lower lip in front grill and chrome strip at the rear.

I'd be very happy if they did launch a 1.5 CVT version, but the quantity here seems to be too less - I mean 3 vs 240?

* Crystal Black Peal
* Tafetta Pearl
* Urban Titanium Metallic
* Carnelian Red Pearl
* Alabaster Silver Metallic
* Rallye Red

CD, have a close look at the first snap. I could spot the round fog lamps on the cars parked in the background of the third (bottom-most) row, first snap. And going by the front grill, they aren't Honda Citys.
