Black is my favourite colour on automobiles, still white looks great on certain vehicles. Hayabusa, FZ25, Dominar, Nano, Fiat Uno, Linea, Punto Abarth, Vespa, Thar, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota Supra.

For me it's a straightforward reason, white hides minor scratches and imperfections on paint better than any other colour.

For me, White is the most preferred colour due to all the advantages it has over other colours like:

1. Visibility at night
2. Reflects Sunlight the best
3. Dust and minor scratches don't show up easily unlike say Black where even the tiniest particle will be seen

However, even though I wanted a white car, my family didn't consent and we went for a Black one, maintaining it ain't easy! However, I am sure my next car will be white as long as it looks good on the car.

My reasons for picking up only a white (or possibly a silver car) in India are as follows -

1. The car remains cooler relatively to darker colors.
2. It is easy to maintain white as it camouflages dust and dirt better than darker colors.
3. The repaint job is mostly terrible here and darker colored panels if repainted look horrible. The white repainted panel still disguises itself better.
4. Scratches are easier to fix as a paintbrush touching job on white is virtually not noticeable.

If however I were buying a car overseas, I would never pick a white, ever.

It sounds funny, MUL guys giving advice and opinion on car colours, Why Black cars can't be used for marriages and functions? Black cars are always known as Royal cars. From Maharajas, to Presidents, Saints and Gurus use Black cars, even Indian army was using Black Ambassador. They cannot utter illogical opinions to their loyalty Anyways car colours are individual choice.

White is popular in global average. In US black is more popular than white today. White color significance in asian culture might be factor too. Silver was #1 color in early 2000s to 2010, that's why silver cars looks old to me sometimes. Silver is falling out of fashion now.

A car looks best in Black. Period.
But it is hard to maintain. White, silver, grey are fuss free and easy on pocket.

Surprised to see Blue percentage is more than Red colour. Red looks hot on certain cars. Best blue colour can be seen BMW, Volvo
