The front does seem to be in line with the look of the Avventura. Here is a comparo:

Note the split grill, placement of FIAT logo, chin - which seems to be replaced with another unit wherein the air dam is replaced with foglamps

At the rear, the tail-lights and the lights in the bumper seem to be same, but the bumper unit is different - looking at the placement of the numberplate and considering spare-wheel mounting is not required on the regular Punto hatchback

The front grill certainly looks smaller than the Avventure.

The tail lights though looks exactly the same as the Avventure.

The Punto, in all probability, will get a refreshed dashboard in line with the new Linea.

I'm afraid without a 1.6L engine, no one's going to bite. Fiat seems to have understanding with all their engine clients that they will not be the first to introduce their engines in the market thereby giving the manufacturer an unfair advantage.

The fact is, even with the 1.6 engine, sadly, there won't be many takers for Fiat cars. In the past and even now, people have always come up with reasons why Fiat is not able to sell cars, and most of them have either been speculation or proven to be wrong.

Just think about it, why isn't the Punto selling while the Swift was with the same engine?

Some how the Fiat India website is still catching up with respect to the new Linea.
No sign of the same or the fact that booking is on

Sounds rather low and wrong. Autocar India has mentioned in their article that it is Rs. 25,000.

Maybe this (http://indianautosblog.com/2014/02/2...march-5-121598) is based on the low munbers Fiats are doing since long .

It is very disappointing that there is no 1.6 MJD, expectation was that Fiat would change the game bringing in the 1.6 MJD.

I think Fiat Linea arguably is the best looking sedan in town. There is something about Italian cars that make you love them.

Beautiful looking exteriors, high quality interiors. I sincerely hope Linea sells well. I am sure as a company Fiat deserves a chance.
