It won't be available before Jul-13 as far as some portals are claiming. IAB has quoted the capacity of the CNG cylinder @ 32 liters (~ 6.5 kg max capacity), which is acceptable for a car of that size & no boot.

With the level of slumber that Tata goes in for introducing models, July 13 is really good, if they keep it within the time frame.
Also, apart from the CNG tank, there is always the petrol tank which can hold another 15 ltrs of fuel. Thankfully that will increase the travel range of the car without needing quick fillings.

I agree with TML trying to shake out of slumber.

The Bio-Fuel Nano is good for over 500 kms on the highway, considering you will get 5 kgs CNG, good for 180 kms & 15 liters petrol good for 375 kms, both best figures.

However, IMO it will travel more distance on CNG on highway, because my Santro Xing (with a after market certified open loop kit) does ~ 30kmpkg on highway, & company fitted Santros are rated ~ 25kmpkg.

Re: Tata Indigo eCS facelift

When can one see the facelift models in showroom. Are they going to make them available right away?

Its offer / discount time with almost all manufacturers, can we expect some discounts or a revised aggressive pricing for eCS?

What on earth does that mean?
My best guess: the headlamps are dual chambered. So the light that comes out from these dual chambers provide an intense centralized beam that wont' illuminate anything outside the width of the car. The beam, being intense will surely blind the oncoming drivers who will (hopefully, of course) maneuver out of your way creating safe and comfortable night driving conditions.

On a serious note, "Mr. Slym has promised that the company will launch brand new products...in the long-term.... However, a brand new product is only expected in 2015. Till then, it will have to continue with refreshes of its existing portfolio."

Also: "Apart from the upgraded products, Tata Motors also launched a customer focused strategy called Horizonext on Wednesday." A Google search for Horizonext will lead you to a probably non-existing company in the US. http://horizonext.com/

At least, Tata should have bought that domain name.

Re: Tata Indigo eCS facelift

It's the same headlight assembly with less chrome for the surrounds. I feel this is more of a cost reduction measure than adding features. Even the interiors - they've just gone backwards. The 4 spoke steering wheel is what indica's have, and they are just using a black interior - what the indica turbo used to have.

Some parts bin engineering, a new grille and a bumper.

Can someone get some info on this cable operated(?) gearbox?
