I've seen only two V40s in bangalore. A red and a white. Both with black rims and honestly, they look absolutely incredible. While Volvo may not have as much snob value as the three Germans, I think they're on our in terms of quality and miles ahead in terms of equipment and safety

Anybody know if the V40 cross-country has AWD? The engine options mention a petrol AWD option but there's nothing in the brochure

I see one (copper color) frequenting Bangalore-Hosur (and beyond to chennai may be), he looks to have missed his Volvo bus and always in a hurry. Or may be running trials for mini-volvo service

But seriously after reading this thread cannot believe a 150Bhp engine can make the car go SOOOO fast! That thing moves - really! Must be the stumptuous 350Nm of torque. And what a looker - absolute drool stuff over the still good-looking A180.

AFAIK, only the petrol T4 and T5 models are offered with AWD.



I was told this is the rear suspension of Volvo V40. What type of suspension is this?

When it comes to looks this probably even beats the GLA and the A class. When I went into the Volvo showroom for another car my mom couldn't stop talking about and looking at this one. It easily draws your attention. The black color with black rims is insane. So is the red.

I am told by the Volvo dealer that they are expected a hatchback version and a polestar version (both to this and S60) to this car around June. They might reprice it a bit lower as well.

I visited Volvo showroom for XC 60 TD but this pocket rocket impressed me a lot.
Except space, it has everything better.

Excellent choice Raosaheb....one good looking car. I am eagerly looking forward to your initial owners review. I assume this is largely going to be self driven. That's where its value lies in my opinion. I swayed between the V40 and the XC60 AWD D5 a lot and finally took the latter. It was a close run affair.
