I remember having seen the Hyundai Tucson (its tucson and not tuscon) ad in the papers when the car was being launched. It was an ok ad... in fact informative one as far as the name for this car goes.

I guess the best Ad for a Car could have been Narian Kartikeyan driving the Optra, where he is mistaken for a Taxi guy .. But unfortunately that Ad was for Bharat Petroleum..

And another was ... Big B and his son for the Box like Van from maruti.. (the next version of Omni).. cant remember the name.. it doesnot come me tiny mind.. Big B should not have done this..

XETA... with the guy posing dumb and the dames in the Xeta.. was afterall contradicting their own vehicle.. I say this because, for Guys Cars/bikes take precedence over the Girls.. So I say if was a better car the girls were in .. he would surely have hopped in.. Iam sure it was not a man's brain in making the Ad

The worst ad recently i saw is the Aveo and Indica XETA.
The best ones i remember right now are Tata Indica(previous) and Bajaj Avenger.

Worst ad for me has to be the Maruti 800 ad.. the one with the lil Punjabi kid making the "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound and going all over the house with a model of the 800.. and when the father FINALLY gets irritated with him and asks him why he dosn't stop he says "petrol khatam hi nahi ho rahi hai"

The worst ad I have seen is the Palio ad two years ago. A man takes a bucket and cleans the car at every signal. There was ad for Fiats after that.

Has got to be the veo...I wonder how did GM even give a Go! to the ad. Its horrible.
Then there is the Indica ad, the old one was just too good(with the "Must be true" guy)...the Xeta ad shows more of the females than the car.

Hmmm... its quite interesting. I'm studying advertising and in India for every 1 person who hates a car ad, an estimated 3 people love it. 75%. tht's not a bad number. and seeing as so many ppl here hate certain ads, i'd say the marketing chaps are doing quite well.
And to those who dont like the Skoda ad: I really dont see ur problem. On the contrary, I feel like buying a Skoda right now.

What about the very first tata indigo ad? it was also very dumb ad where the ad lasted for about a minute in which the indigo was shown for only a microsecond!! Also do u remember an old Tata safari ad in which people dance in a night club with different animal names and finally when u get bored of the ad the safari is finally shown with caption "there is enough wildness in the city".
