re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi - Discussion Thread

I think perhaps the CVT is in an ideal world aka on american roads, more efficient since the technology itself does seem to suggest it would be. BUT on roads like ours or on twisty bends, nothing beats the human mind ergo the manuals have the capability of being more consistent in varying conditions. Just a thought.

You're an owner too? I don't think there are enough of us out there to justify an entire forum this thread is more or less serving that purpose anyway.

re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi - Discussion Thread

Well My CVT gives about 8 - 9 with a driving combination of normal to being aggressive in between.. but if someone can manage a sedate driving condition most times.. it should give around 10+. but how much ever i have pushed it in city coonditions the worst i have gotten was about 7.5 - 8.. so i guess for an engine that size and given the power the car can delover its a good number to get.

Cool is that the average you get? I am really skeptical. Are you sure the image wasn't taken after resetting and then going down empty roads or flyovers in neutral? Cause that can even get it to show 30kmpl xD

re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi - Discussion Thread

These are figures that i get usually...
though occasional rash driving bring the figures down..
tank full to tank full figures are around 11.5 to 12.5 avg
things that i have noticed that improves mileage
1) drive at at a constant speed
2) accelerate gradually
3) glide to a stop
4) try to stick to your 6th gear
5) maintain 80 to 120 kmph
6) a/c 24 *c auto climate control
7) drive in the coolest time of the day
8) fill up your tank early mornings

Ah 11.5-12.5 sounds realistic :P Yes I completely agree with you about having a light foot on the accelerator and trying to glide to a stop but I can never maintain anything less than 120 on the highways, how could you treat the Kizashi like that xD
Oh you must be warned though; that though this car doesn't stall even at 10kph in 5th, constantly low speeds in the city at 6th puts severe load on the engine because it is always running at an unhealthily low rpm. Experts please correct me if I am wrong here.

Anyway it's good to know you are an owner too. How long have you had the car? How many miles have you logged? Do share your experiences with us.

re: Maruti Suzuki Kizashi - Discussion Thread

Does the kizashi have a fuel injection or a carbeurator type?
the car comes to life past 1700~2200 rpm and then its wheels on fire...
overtaking...and accelerating is such a fun to experience..

Does anyone know of any dealer in Delhi NCR who has a Kizashi in stock. I checked in Noida but no one seems to have it in their stock

@rockporiom, the car looks awesome.

After a long time, saw a Kizashi in white at Chennai today morning. This car sure has some road presence.

You bet it does. I keep staring at mine whenever I sit in the garden and occasionally even take photos

Fuel Injection. I do not know of any car with carburetor based fuel supply that is sold today.
