The idea seems to be like this: If you want to buy an MT, get the low or high end. If you want an AT, get the mid of high end. Manual mid-end - sorry, can't have it.

And as for the re-pricing the variants, here is my 2 cents:

The accepted price differential for an AT over a similar specced MT is 1 lakh - so a Style MT (had it existed) would have been 7.99 ex-showroom. So, the Ambiente MT SHOULD BE priced below that as it is less equipped. Can we expect a 7.5 lakh price like the City E variant? That would definitely put the wind back in the Fiesta sails.

Brochures link is not working anymore. I remember many of the features. Let me know if you want to know any of them.

even I am baffled at why so is the brochure withdrawn...I suspect somethings fishy or ford is waiting for old stock to clear before releasing that new brochure. has anyone saved that brochure? I did get the new brochure but its only a 4 page and that too only features the AT variants (no petrol MT or diesel).

Thanks to sidindica for posting the brochure link which I downloaded yesterday and have re-uploaded.

Also let me take this opportunity to thank GTO for getting the specifications of the Fiesta Automatic exactly right. I had read all the reviews of the Automatic Fiesta and no one mentioned about the ESP but only the Team-BHP review had mentioned about it. This only proves the credibility of Team-Bhp. Kudos to you guys

I remember that the test number in the official review had leather seats, but now missing in the brochures.

@vb-san remember how we ourselves compared the fiesta variants with the rest of the pack (competitors) when it was introduced? Look at the price comparo from the official teambhp ford fiesta review here.

As you can see, although the base variant of the fiesta had features such as steering mounted audio controls, a good music system etc we compared it against entry variants of other cars which did not have that feature. Probably this is what prompted Ford to rejig the models. Glad that Ford is correcting it now!

Do they have any plans to release Diesel Automatic, that I would be very much interested-in. We do have only Verna -Diesel-AT has 6 months waiting period.

That’s what I said - it will look good on paper, especially in comparison charts. But what is the point on a safety lowered, bare bone petrol version? (from the brochure, this is not available in diesel). Or probably, it’s to compete with the City CE.

The Fiesta line up needs a price correction. Why does Ford not realize this? This should have been done long ago.
