Thanks for this. Looks like the 328i Sportline is the most loaded of all variants (even better than the 320d Luxury Plus).

And the diesel motor have lesser CO2 emission compared to the petrol!

It would have been great if the bofffins at BMW would have given the 320d with HUD, BMW apps (Connected Drive) - on the Sports line.

This would have been a total game changer in the segment.

How many petrol cars do they expect to sell anyway?

Possibly they might come out with all these features in the 320d, a year or so down the line.

Personally, am a tad bit disappointed.

BTW: Autocar India mentions that BMW plans to get the 335i to India at a later date !!

That is quite disappointing. The extra features the sportsline and the luxury line get are xenons , 17 inch wheels and some better leather and interior trim options compared to the basic 320d. People would either go for the basic 320d or the luxury line plus. The sports and luxury line might not have too many takers (might suffer the same fate as the current dynamic variant).

And boy is the 328i fully loaded! Apparently the 320d is nowhere near as much fun to drive as the 328i. Would be interesting if the 320d luxury line plus is priced near the 328i. Buyers would definitely give the 328i a serious thought.

Nope the 328 is a turbo'd 2.0 litre. the 335i will be a twin turbo

Just saw 2 of those 'Ultimate 3' cars parked at the Aston Martin Service Centre at Worli! The length has increased a bit compared to the outgoing 3. Now can't wait for the prices!

re: SCOOP! 2012 F30 BMW 3 Series spied *UPDATE* Unveiled (Pg. 22)

The spec sheet seems to be decent with upto 5 trims compared to the 3 on offer now.

The glass roof seems to be only for the 328i!

The Hifi loudspeaker system & the 8.8" iDrive screen with Nav Prof seem to be only for the 328i and the 320d Luxury plus! The remaining 3 trims get a 6.5" which is disappointing unless the price counters it in some way.

The F30 looks and the design impressions are a personal choice but BMW has surely gone a step ahead in offering a few more trims on the CKD kits, finally

I seriously wonder how the pricing would be! At least in AP, the 320d exclusive was 40L on road pre-budget and upto 42L post-budget. Considering the money-thirsty wolves here, a little competitive pricing would certainly help maintain their high sales, at least in Hyderabad.

Just saw the teaser display at Phoenix Mills, Mumbai (exactly like the one pictured above in Delhi). The car inside the large number of orange balls, is a Maroon F30, looks like D, certainly is tomorrow..

Thanks for the spec sheet. I am disappointed by lack of HUD and sunroof for the diesel. May be to differentiate with 520D?

Thank you ecclipse78 for keeping your word. Exactly what I expected on the Sport Line variant. I was expecting more features on the Luxury variant though. Surprised to see a Luxury Plus variant. It would be a big disappointment if the prices don't justify these omissions. My mind is swaying back in favor of a used F10 already.

You are welcome over.drive

Yes, I too feel its better to consider a used F10.
BMW needs to better spec the 320d Sports variant.

Omitting sunroof from all diesel models is a bad move when MB is offering Panaromic roof on high end models ! Secondly, cutting costs on front parking senors ! Now that is plain ridiculous !!
The base version is pretty well equipped. I think the 320d luxury line and sports line ought to be priced at par.
