Looks as big as Ertiga.

They are inspired by the current market leader - Maruti Suzuki.

I too saw 6-7 of these MUV's in Bandipur last month. Could not click pics since I was driving. Is it the Chevrolet Enjoy?

Re: Chevrolet MUV seen testing in Bangalore

looks like it will replace the tavera and compete with the soon to be launched Nissan Evalia, IMO its stance and profile look similar to that of the Mahindra Xylo.

Re: Chevrolet MUV seen testing in Bangalore

Looks much similar to the Xylo and bigger than the Ertiga. Not sure if it slots in Ertiga category.

Re: Chevrolet MUV seen testing in Bangalore

I have seen similar MUV being tested in and around my city also.
From what I have observed :

1) There is a diesel engine for sure. The vehicle makes lot of noise outside which is not a typical chevy trait, atleast for their cars in India till date. If the vehicle is crossing a bump, even 100 mtrs. away you can be sure its a diesel. Cruze, you cant make out, not even in Tavera.

2) Width is narrow. As compared to other modern rivals, width seems a bit less. Even Tavera is just about sufficient as far as width goes for 3 abreast sitting in middle row.

3) Its more like Ertiga competitor rather than replacing the traditional body on frame Tavera.

All above are my observations while I spotted these vechicles multiple times and all the times, I was at the wheel, so did not dare to take photographs.

Re: Chevrolet MUV seen testing in Bangalore

From the looks photos its definitely bigger than the Ertiga. I think it might be placed just as a competitor to XUV with a premium feel as Tavera now only attracts the taxi fleet owners.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

As long as this MUV turns out to be comfortable and trouble-free (relatively speaking) with a reasonable cost of ownership, then most people would be willing to forgive the way it looks.

That said, Nissan's MUV does look a lot better than this one although both have the origins in the 'white-van' mould. A poor man's Alphard anyone?

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Pics of the Chevrolet MPV spotted today morning @ ARAI campus. The black car next to it is the Sail hatchback. Are these two cars still undergoing testing at ARAI? This one looks like a Tavera replacement.

Looks taller and roomier then the Tavera (which is there in the pic), What will happen to Tavera if the price of Enjoy starts at 6 lakhs (as is the indication given by GM).

If it is a monocoque, it could be a big turn off for the travel operators and this combined to the smaller engines would probably put it out of their radar. So the Tavera might still survive.
