Already it has lots of competition from Innova, Ertiga, Xylo, Evalia (Really???), Sumo etc. Also it has major competition from their own product Tavera itself. I am sure after Enjoy launch, Tavera sales are going to get affected. If they want to get market share they have to price it below Xylo, Tavera, Ertiga. Then only it can generate few numbers IMO.
I was trying to comment that given its looks, it looks like specially designed for cabbies(customers who like Eeco and cant even afford base Xylo !!) So if you say if cab drivers dont choose it, who else will ?

Going by the pricing for Sail twins, Enjoy also seems to be priced aggressively. Expect it to be priced cheaper than Ertiga and Xylo. there might be overlap with Tavera and the petrol versions might be surely cheaper than Tavera diesel. But Enjoy is expected to be more modern than old Tavera platform, so diesel variants might just be expensive than tavera.

New MUV Vehicle ?

Today ie. March 6, 2013 when I was driving to Office, on the Ring Road, I noticed this vehicle. With the kind of traffic especially near Khajrana Mandir square, it was difficult to take great photos. To me, the badge from the rear looked like Cheverolet's - but I leave the guesses to the Pundits in this forum. Here are the photos.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

After the slow start from Sail twins and confusion on GM's marketing/pricing strategy, I am having a feeling that this is their latest dud in making. It may not be able to take sales pie from Xylo, Ertiga but would just kill it's brother from another mother (Isuzu Panther) viz Tavera.

Here are some pictures of the same in Gurgaon (I know the one place where i've seen 2 other chevy models on test!).

Note that one model is a PETROL model! Clearly Ertiga-competition. Couldn't take interior pics due to the stupid BB camera.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

With this, Chevy may be the 4th option after innova, ertiga & xylo. Maybe the 3rd if at all. Chevy products lately have become utilitarian with VFM tag. The SAIL twins are a good indication of what the Enjoy might come with. Besides, in terms of looks, this is better than Evalia but looks totally unappealing. I would love Chevy to prove me wrong cause their products check all the boxes except the oh-i-want-that-car!

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Spotted the Enjoy in my area on Sunday. The size is almost Innova, or rather 85% of Innova. Seems slightly larger than Ertiga. Width was quite less as compared to Innova or even Ertiga for that matter.

The wheels looked a size smaller than Innova. Interiors were not bad looking atleast. Good amount of space in middle row and last row seemed usable. Generous greenhouse area and interiors likely to be more airy.

Somehow, the narrow and tall body made me feel that this car wont have the high speed stability as the Innova, let alone the Etriga. Price must be slightly lower than Ertiga else this product will also fail like other Chevy Chinese products. Might end up having a cabbie image.

Do I see captain seats in the middle row? That was a nice shot; helps in good comparo with the Innova.

I have seen some other pic before in this thread. Enjoy does indeed have captain seats for the middle row(may be optional !!) Due to its boxy design, it surely will be much more spacious than Ertiga. We have to wait and see if ride and handling will be car like or not.

Yes, it's boxy but that doesn't necessarily translate into more space. As our friend aagoswami mentioned, the body is too narrow for 3 people to sit abreast comfortably. For the record, the Tavera is even narrower than the Ertiga, and believe me it's a tight fit on the inside. It's just that the Tavera has more headroom and length and I believe it'll be likewise with the Enjoy. Even if the Enjoy came with captain seats, it cannot compete with the Innova that has space enough for someone to pass in between those captain seats.

I really suspect it'll even be as wide as the Ertiga. The Ertiga's width is exactly the Swift's, which is 1695mm. But there's more shoulder room in the Ertiga due to a spaced out cabin that accomodates 3 rows, while in the Swift, it's the boot. The point I'm trying to make in comparison to the Swift is, 3 can sit comfortably in the Ertiga, although the width is the same as Swift, because of better shoulder room.

Scoop: Chevrolet MUV spotted

Was driving in Gurgaon and spotted a Chevrolet MUV. Could not see the full name but ended in a "Y", also was the variant was an LTZ, so I am assuming a top variant, going by Chevrolet's naming conventions.

Did not seem like a test variant as it was dropping a kid to school. Photo credits to my co-passenger Anuj Saxena!

That is the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV which is actually a MPV made by Chinese manufacturer Wuling(guess so).
It is gonna be launched sometime in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year I guess.

Looks so much like a Xylo especially from the rear end. Also in your pics the vehicle seems to be raised slightly from the rear, indicating the presence of leaf springs la Tavera. I hope not, otherwise the ride will be bouncy as hell.

Isn't Enjoy a monocoque? Can monocoque platform have leaf springs?
