I partially agree with you. It can be an alternative to the present cabs but the build quality and the interiors are much better than the Ertiga. If prized well can be a success even as a personal transport with the 3rd row seat appearing to be spacious . Also the blue lit dash impressed me a lot.
I felt it to be underpowered but the engine sounded smooth as the guy drove off.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Caught this near Kathipara Flyover in Chennai during the 1st week of September. From the looks of it, guess it is a Chevy Sail.

MODS: Please move this to an appropriate thread, if found irrelevant here.

GM China : Sail EV/Springo

Quote:
The Chevy Spark EV and the Springo EV do not share engineering, as one might assume so due to their similar launches. The Spark rides upon Gamma II, while the Sail still rides upon the platform from the Opel Corsa B.

No official specifications have been released on the range of the battery, but rumors have it to be around 150 km, or 93 miles.

What car is this?

Spotted this GJ registered vehicle in Bangalore today with badges covered. It looked similar to Ertiga in size.

Can anyone guide which car is this?

Mods: Search unsuccessful. Please guide and delete/merge if already discussed.

Edit: Thanks mods

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

I happened to spot the Chevrolet MPV near Marathahalli today evening on the way back from work.

It was raining quite a bit and hence some pics are not very clear / out of frame.

Also it was taken from a phone, so pardon the quality of the snaps.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

I have been seeing this vehicle for a while now, was finally able to click a few pics - though really sad quality - its the GM MPV. I have also noticed a sedan based GM vehicle under test around here. Next time I see it will snap some pics.

Note: Its a really sad camera and it was on zoom from the 3rd floor - so please dont mind the poor picture quality!

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

This very same car was spotted by my wife near Graphite India Signal. My wife had called me up describing the vehicle and she mentioned the GJ red registration plates. I confirmed that this is the GM MPV.

By the way she too is slowing becoming an autohead like most of us here

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Why is it that most GM MPV's are sagging forward? Tavera and now the Enjoy?

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Any idea on expected launch date ? GM is busy digesting Sail UVA i guess. Will this MPV come before the sail sedan or after ?

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

A few more pictures of this MPV. It was an LTZ model with two captain seats in the middle row. Sorry about the picture quality - taken with the 3MP Samsung Galaxy Spica. Since the window glasses were quite dirty, I could not get proper interior pictures.

Does having butterfly-style windows make the vehicle an easy target for car thieves? Can these windows be operated electrically? And are they linked to the central locking system?

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Rushlane have reported recent sighting of the Enjoy in Mumbai, where they have managed to snap the interiors as well (23 pics overall). Here's the report:

http://www.rushlane.com/chevrolet-en...g-1256810.html

The MUV appears quite spacious in all 3 rows, & the interiors seem good.
