Quoting my own post since it is outside the Edit window time line

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

Ertiga Dimensions
Length : 4265
Width : 1695
Height : 1685
Wheelbase : 2740
GC : 185

Wulling ( Enjoy MPV for us )
Length : 4305
Width : 1680
Height : 1750/80
Wheelbase : 2720

Tavera
Length : 4435
Width : 1680
Height : 1765
Wheelbase : 2685

Innova
Length : 4585
Width : 1760
Height : 1760
Wheelbase : 2750

IMO, Tavera wont be replaced. Tavera has got more length which is important for last row ( be it side facing or front facing ). Moreover, Tavera is a traditional UV which is body on frame, which I doubt the chinese van has. Tavera has proven itself in many places and also in taxi market where it still holds reasonably good mainly due to FE, stability ( as compared to Xylo ), relatively low maintenance and durability thanks to body on frame construction.

The height of Enjoy is also more and one cant expect the stability of Tavera to be present in Enjoy. Moreover, Tavera recently received an engine upgrade ( its not new but from International motors, basically a Rover engine ) so its here to stay for good IMO. Enjoy may end up as an Ertiga competitor rather than replacing Tavera.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

I ran into this today.

The wheels look sad, needs alloys/ wheel caps. But the car looks quite spacious, almost Jazz like in length, good boot space too. Hope they plonk the National Diesel in it and that would help the car fly off the shelves.

More spy pics of the Enjoy MPV, courtesy ACI:

New spy pics of Chevrolet Enjoy - News - Autocar India

The is bigger & spacious than Ertiga, &, I believe that it will bring sufficient volumes to GM stable, though not as much as the Ertiga & Innova.

Re: Chevrolet Sail (Hatchback) & Chevrolet MPV : Auto Expo 2012

It seems that the Chevrolet Sail twins are just about everywhere these days. Going by the frenetic testing involved, I guess the launch date is close. My friend saw this Sail Hatchback being tested in Pune late night yesterday. It seems the driver of this test car was pretty enthusiastic and really fast as my friend's effort of trying to overtake this car ended in vain.

Having subjected the test cars to more than a year of rigorous testing, when will GM find it right to launch the Sail seems to be seen.

I know for a fact that two variants of the Sail will be here this festive season and the Trailblazer sometime around December.

I am aware of the two variants of Sail (Hatchback & Sedan in petrol & diesel engine options), but I am really unaware that Chevrolet is planning to launch the Trailblazer this year. Is this true?

Dealers expect the trailblazer to be here earliest by December. Updated Captiva is also on its way here and will be launched sometime around Diwali.

This could be old news.

Going by Mr. Paddocks statement below, the Sail is slated to be launched in the next few months followed by Enjoy by December.

Excerpt from the tidbit taken from Marketwatch.com

"Mr. Paddock said the company will introduce a new hatchback, Sail U-VA, in next few months and multipurpose vehicle Enjoy by December"

The launch of the captiva is contrary to what I heard from a close relative who's a Chevrolet dealer. He said that the new captiva, trailblazer, sail and the new cruze are a part of chevrolet's 12 car launch line up for the Indian market.

Motorbeam have reported spy pics of Chevy Sail Twins' & Enjoy's interiors in the below report:

Sail Twins and Enjoy Interiors Snapped | MotorBeam - Indian Car Bike News & Reviews

It seems that good interiors that were the USP of GM have been ditched for the Chinese derived vehicles .

Those images aren't clear enough to conclude the interiors aren't good.
