Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Was looking at the Skoda Kushaq a few weeks back, and was offered the following discounts by the helpful salesman (without me really even asking about discounts - so even more might be possible).

OBD1 - 1 lakh off on-road price
OBD2 - 35k off on-road price

Re: The "New Luxury Car" Price Check Thread | Track Discounts, Offers & Deals on Audi, BMW, Mercedes

Are there any discounts being offered on the top-of-the line Kia Sonet X-Line (with the matte graphite body colour)? In Mumbai. The dealer in spoke with said there would not be a single rupee discount on this model, so am wondering.

Honda cars to get more expensive from June 1, 2023

Honda has announced that it plans to hike the prices of the Amaze and City by up to 1% from June 1, 2023.

According to Kunal Behl, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India, the prices are being revised in response to the increasing cost pressures on the company. The price hike will vary depending on the variants.

Currently, the Amaze compact sedan is priced from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), following last month's price hike of Rs 12,000. The City, on the other hand, is priced from Rs 11.55 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also available with a strong-hybrid powertrain. That being said, prices of the City Hybrid will not be affected by the June 1 price hike.

The price announcement comes as Honda is preparing to unveil a new mid-size SUV called the 'Elevate' for the Indian market. It will make its global debut on June 6, 2023.

What is up with these companies hiking prices every other day ? It's like everyday a feature gets deleted and the price increases. It's always a loss for the customers.
There needs to be some strict rule to stick to a price for atleast 6 months or so.

Why do companies cut features and then increase their prices?
Companies first increase their prices and then they offer plenty of discounts due to low sales.

As long as there is demand, why will they not take advantage? Another way to look at it is, they are simply spreading the 8 % retail inflation over 12 months.

That's what all dealerships are quoting. A bit more haggling will get you discount of about 10k on insurance and reverse camera and mud flaps free.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Reposting from another thread: Hi, what would be the best time to purchase the A4 in terms of discounts in Gurgaon? I would be stretching my budget from 30lacs to whatever the Audi A4 costs. I would most likely go for the premium version. My running would be less than 10k kms per year, so I can skip on the service package. Any chance I could get the premium model including extended warranty for close to 45 lacs?

Kia Seltos (HTX 1.5 iVT Petrol)

A family member bought a Seltos last month, and this is what I gathered.

Note: It was an outright purchase - no loan taken, and this was a purchase just weeks/months before the upcoming facelift.

The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals-2023042x-price-list-notes.jpg

During the test-drive, the salesman offered...
1) Free Floor Lamination - Rs. ~10k value
2) Free 10-part PPF - Rs. ~10k value
3) Free Ceramic Coating for 5 years (2x a year, done by Kia @ service time) - Rs. ~37k value
...as long as insurance was being bought through the dealership (Rs. 68k w/ ZeroDep & RTI), any one or more of the above 3 freebies could be taken, and the balance will be given as cash discount. (So between 20k - 47k cash discount)

In our case we went with the Ceramic Coating:

The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals-ceramic-coating-2.jpg

...and got the balance Rs. 20,000 (10k+10k) cash discount.

Pretty sure with some pushing, the cash discount could have been significantly larger, though it really depends on how the dealership is placed, what colours they have in stock and how fast that remaining stock is moving.

Only the following accessories were selected - so the 'Accessories' amount was adjusted in the price-sheet above (and interestingly only the mats were invoiced, but the box plate was not):

Delivery was made on the 6th working day (8th calendar day) after full payment:

Pardon my ignorance, but do these refer to BS 6 (E10) and 6.2 (E20) respectively? Or was there some recent change with respect to the OBD standard supported in Kushaq?

Moreover, how much do these translate to, in terms of discount on ex showroom price?

No link at all with the E10/20 petrol introduction but instead OBD2 denotes compliance with the BS6.2 RDE regime compulsory for all vehicles manufactured after 31 March 2023.
