The Chennai dealer was speaking of an exchange bonus of 10k off an e-showroom price of 9.57L for the GT TDI.

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Planning to buy a new car soon. Looked at the i10 Grand and i20 today. Test drove the Grand i10. These are the quotes I got. All petrol and metallic colour. This is from Himgiri Hyundai Gurgaon.

i10 Grand Sportz-485,747+15872(regd)+6990(handling)+365(number plate)+14652(insurance)+ 3368(extended warranty)=526,994

i10 Grand Asta(O)-542,605+17578(regd)+6990(handling)+365(number plate)+16201(insurance)+3368(extended warranty)=587,107

No Discounts. They had two 2013 cars with them, and were giving 20k off on them.

i20 Sportz-578,816+18864(regd)+6990(handling)+365(number plate)+17188(insurance)+4112(extended warranty)=626,135
Discount offered= 10k+15k+3k=28k (loyalty, exchange bonus and corporate discount)
Effectively= 598,135

Any more scope on the i20? I had my heart set on the i20.Odds are pointing towards the i10 Grand at the moment. Let's see.
How soon is a model change expected for the i20?

Also, what is the current price and discount scene with the Swift Vxi & Zxi?

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Just came across this joke (from Skoda dealer in Delhi) so thought, I will share it with you all. A friend queried for deal on Skoda Laura n the dealer (Jai Auto, Mathura Road) said they have a few inventory. It is the manual version (hence the 110bhp) 2013 manufactured and the discount on this car was Rs 1lac. We were like, who would pay 17.xxlacs for Elegance model (after discount) on an old model (2013), outdated car (as Octavia has been launched), with lesser power0. The SA would have probably agreed for further 20-25k but I don't see sense in that. I told my friend max he should pay for this car is 11-12 lacs as it is essentially a second hand car now.

Planning to book the Polo 1.2 GT. I like the facelift and I guess it is expected in May? Do I wait for a while more? I guess it would be around ~ 9.5 lacs on road in Mumbai with no freebies thrown in..

Here is a link to the zigwheels article giving details of the mouth watering details on sedans. Some of them may be highly discounted due to an imminent new model around the corner.

Quote for a 2013 manufactured Vento Comfortline TDI with corporate add-ons, exchange and dealer discount is 9.91L on-road. This is from their Bangalore Cars outlet near Palace Cross, Bangalore.

Does anyone know if this is the best deal? Also, I've heard of bigger discounts on the Rapid TDI, and was wondering if the Elegance TDI would be a better option.

Useful link buddy.
But wondering how sunny is missing in the list.
50k+ discount is available for Sunny (Free Insurance + Cash discount 20k) 2014 models. (+10~15k for 2013 models, which is very less)

Any discounts on the Rexton? I am looking at reliability reports as well. I could find only one bad experience so far.

Honda, Mahindra and Tata are set to increase prices from April. I guess all others will follow suit.

Any deals on the Hyundai i10 1.1 Sportz?

Sreenath Hyundai is quoting 5.25L on-road Mumbai with free insurance, parking sensors and few other freebies I guess. Getting 80k for my Spark if I exchange it.

The Sportz variant is pretty loaded with all the essential goodies hence considering it. Asta is discontinued.

Also considering Swift LXi and Grand i10 Magna.

Grand magna @ 5.4 is a better bet than the i10 sportz. Only thing additional in the sports is defogger, rear seat head-rests, indicators on ORVM and ICE. Grand gets fogs though and overall a much better car.

Celerio MT VXI @ 4.9 can also be considered. Space-wise its on par with the Swift with a better boot. Suggest a visit to the showroom to gauge.

Swift - some Mumbai dealers have 2013 in stock which they may offer for 5.5-5.6ish on road mumbai for the VXi (breaks had a very bad reputation on our forum though).

Thanks even I like the Grand i10. I'm considering the i10 mainly because I'll be able to get a CNG kit fitted from the dealer without voiding the warranty. I haven't enquired whether they'll do this for the Grand. If they do then its surely going to be the grand i10.

Even maruti dealers fit cng kits without voiding the warranty. Hence thinking about the swift. Not much of a fan of the Celerio. Will drive it soon

I enquired about 3 weeks back for the GT TDI, MY2013 model final price was 8.88L. The dealer was VW Sundaram.
