re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Saw the ad for Punto diesel @ 4.99 lakhs. Should be ex-showroom for the base edition.

Nonetheless, a great car to buy for dieselheads at a great price now.

Update: The camera and SAT NAV support is supposedly in "research" by VW. Now what is there to research on a model that is quite old (considering its Polo roots) and with a the RCD 320/220? May be they are figuring out the interference in the display when the camera and other peripherals work in tandem. But it seems like Vento needs this update soon to even out things with the Verna and the possible City in the future.

The cash discount on the Vento has disappeared this month. VW sees a revival in its Vento sales. I am not sure how, there is nothing really working for them here. So as it stands today the deal on the Vento is 17 K off, and accessories free. Wondering if its makes sense at 9.8 L BLR.

I had enquired and of course, this price is for the 2012 model. It is worth even then, but the buyer should be careful for the cars lying in the stockyard for over a year.

@ CRV2010: Blore taxes are high but the price you have quote for a VW highline seems high to me! Unless a magic has happened in the last 30 days, VW was having free insurance + other discounts (corporate, exchange etc etc) till a few days back albeit in a different state. As with the bluetooth kit, the OE audio has bluetooth streaming as KINI highlighted so not sure what extra benefit does an additional kit provide!

In the meantime, with regard to the Punto, does anyone know if it is a genuine offer. Ever other dealer confirms the existence of it but not one is ready to book as they claim that they dont have stock!! FIAT at Kochi, Trivandrum and Trichur claims that the offer was only valid for 3 days and they are booked out.

Any idea what discounts Mercedes might offer on pre-facelift E Classes after today's launch? Looking for something around 30L OTR NCR.

While driving to work today, I heard an ad for Vento offering 1lac discount. From the quote you got it comes to 69k only. Are they hiding thr offer or you have a old quote? Or they havr too many * conditions applied probably. Just thought to point out.

@ CRV2010 something does not fit right to me, unless prices have gone up that drastically but the ex-showroom price (just a few rupees below 10l) seems to remain same. I would recommend you do a bit of a research, sir, as I had to haggle hard (and based on the inputs from a distinguished team-bhpian), called up VW personnel from different showroom, compare, find discrepancies etc before reaching at the final figure.

Mudflaps are useful but i think the Vento looks a lot better without them.

Guys,

Saw this advert in TOI today morning. I am a little confused here, does the verna come with 4 speed or 6 speed AT? if its 4 speed, isnt this advert quite mis leading? Have highlighted the confusing parts.
