At 6 lacs you have the option of going for a i20 Magna Optional.

We bought one for the ladies of the house in December and its done 3000 km's so far. Its a very good luxurious hatch. Although FE is just about 10kpl. Very comfortable and has a lot of features.

The best hatch other than the swift vxi.

Yesterday I had inquired about Mahindra Scorpio from a nearby dealer. Within minutes their representative arrived at my premises. On the very first quote he offered me a discount of 50k . But after a little bit of effort to milk some more , a discount of 120k was on the platter. Later in the day a friend of mine said that a new updated Scorpio was about to be launched . So friends out there do clarify what's the truth . Is a new/updated Scorpio really coming. Should we wait for it. And one more thing, my friend said that the updated Scorpio will have 2.2 lt 140bhp engine.

That's strange Grewal. I was enquiring for a Scorpio VLX 4wd with Airbags.
I was offered a discount of 30K inclusive of corporate discount of 5K.

I checked this with India Garage, Sireesh Auto, SKS & Anant Cars. It was the same discount across all of them.

I so wish they offered similar discounts here too.

@Mango_pal: The main difference is the VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) on XUV over the FGT (Fixed Geometry Turbo) on Scorpio.

As per the rumors that were heard earlier the next gen Scorpio (w105) will be launched in 2014.Since,there hasn't been any other concrete news I expect it to be launched at the end of 2014 if not 2015.

Both have the same mHawk engine but XUV500 gets a VGT whereas Scorpio has FGT which bumps up the power by 20 bhp.

About time they came up with a new one. Been about a decade now we've been seeing the same thing over and over again! The mhawk was hardly a facelift. Its a great vehicle though and I still wouldn't mind going in for one. Considering mahindra's new cheetah design language (XUV, Xylo, Quanto, E2O) its pretty obvious the new scorpio, no matter when it comes out is going to be similar.

Yes you are correct, the new Scorpio, is expected to be launched in H1 2013. The new Scorpio will be offered with NAV as well.

I would call it "the Deal of 2013" . More than 10% off on the ex showroom price of the vehicle which sells around 5k units every month , and that too effortlessly.

I shall be enquiring from your dealer if I can get the deal on the model and the color I want. And I wonder if the model change is so close, havent seen any spy shots /news yet.
