re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I checked out the Petrol Polo Highline version yesterday (after waiting and waiting for the Ford Ecosport) which came to around 7.14 OTR. They offered free insurance (23,000) which they said is the best. Even after pushing hard, i looked as if they will not give anything more. Do you guys think its the best offer i can get?

Diesel! Should be a 2012 model, no details on the variant either. You have to call them up & check. I am sure these offers are on the existing stocks. Even Popular & Indus too had advertised in a similar fashion during the same time frame.

Interesting scheme for the BMW 3 Series. But I guess this cannot be combined with the existing discounts, so not much of a difference though

Does anyone is aware that if Cruze is also bearing the heat and is being offered with a discount? I did try the option of going to their website and requesting a current offer/ price for cruze but as all we know how proficient our sales people are in terms of responding to emails.

Just got a call from dealer in Mumbai. there is a flat 1L discount on a 2012 Chevy Cruze Automatic. Then an additional 10K for corporate discount.

So roughly around 18.5 OTR if you do Mumbai registration and if Thane it becomes 17.5L.

There aint any discount on 2013.
I still feel the discount can be more if bargained in person . Any thoughts?

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

We are looking for a new car to replace my Brother in Law's Verna CRDI SX 2007. I am planning to check out the Skoda Yeti 4x2 today. On phone Dealer mentioned OTR as 19.5 lakhs and there will be a cash discount of Rs 1.5 lakhs till 31st March.

Anyone have an idea if there was a better deal recently. And generally what is the time of manufacture of Yeti?

I had gone to enquire about EW for the Jetta. Still no EW. But got to know about some superb discounts on the Jetta. 1.25L cash discount + 25K Corp discount. Plus insurance for 30K less. So overall discount is 1.8L. Another 20K can be expected with some negotiation. This makes the Comfortline a good choice. It will be around 18.8L OTR.

Is this for a 2012 model or a 2013 model?

It should be for a 2013 model as there is still a waiting period for the Jetta(3-4 months) down here.

Co-incidently, Autocar has come up with a list of discounts available in the market. Surprisingly there's no Honda in their list.

here's the link

Guys, what's the scene with dealers charging incidental charges ?

We have recently booked an Ertiga and I was looking at the cost breakup (posted a pic in the Ertiga thread). This is a dealer in Mysore and they are charging 5990 as incidental charge. I read about it being banned in Delhi. Do dealers waive it off down south if one questions this ?

By the way, the current discount on the Ertiga is 15k (Diesel).

Don't worry they don't waive these off even in Delhi. You can give it a shot by being firm and telling him about the judgement, even taking a copy of the same with you perhaps. But most dealers have made this a nexus sort of a thing with each of them charging you the same amount and they know you don't have a real escape route open to u.

It's open to both the versions, basically looking for a good deal on either of them.

Thanks.
